I was told if I went back into the Black, that I would not Lose my Other Player... who just Happend to be my actual "Best Player...

If you remember, I was 9 Million in Debt,...and Lost my punter at Rollover Sunday Evening....

After Playing a Cup Game, and a Home League Game,.. I Paid all of my Debt,...and ended up over 2 million in the Black. Meaning Everyone who I owed money too, Was Paid off in Full.....

This Morning,...I want Back into the Red By Less than 2 Million....

Instead of my Financial Problems starting over...(With 3 weeks of Warning) It Stayed absolutely the same,...and My Best Player Once again Left the Team,... My QB I Drafted 3 seasons ago,...and Had been training for since then,.... And the Heart of my Team....

MY Moral dropped under 60,..and for the 2nd time in a row I got NO TRAINING....

If you cannot see that the punishment does not fit the crime, then I don't know what to tell you.

Seeing as how The Poll to change things went against me,...(Barely) I don't see anything changing,... or,... the Admin "Giving me a break" and giving me my Player Back,...

therefore,... I hope you guys enjoy the game,... I am not going through Obtaining another QB....and Training .....and Following.... and checking over and over and over again,... just to have him some day Haul *** on me too....

I Give up,.... and don't think I will be the first to leave due to this BS either,....and definately won't be the last...

To the *Managers* who voted No on me,... I guess this is what you wanted,... Players who might play the game long enough to be competition one day to Leave the Game,...Or have players taken away unjustly so that I do not pose a threat to you....looks like you got your wish,... no need for any competition right?

I thought the Goal was to get as many players as possible to join the game,... not run them off,... and this policy does nothing to keep me here.... and that is sad,... because other than this BS DEBT policy,... I really do enjoy the game.

Admin was here and "helped with some language issues..

I actually preferred it when it said "To the idiots who voted No on me" ..... for the simple reason that 48 voted 'don't care', 101 voted 'Yes, change the debt rules', and 119 idiots voted 'No, don't change the debt rules' .... amusing to see how many Managers must be idiots.

But, on a more serious note ..... the only slight change to the current procedure that I would suggest, is to amend (slightly) the wording of the 'Financial Warning Email' :-

Here is, I think, the current E-Mail that arrives in your Team Box :-

"Your club balance stays below -500000 $ for 1 consecutive weeks. If you stay at this level for 3 or more weeks this will cause morale lowering of your players. No training will be possible at this point until you solved the situation. Facilities might be demolished. Players might be cut off your roster. You will need to demolish facilities or sell players on the transfer market."

Not bad .... but at the bottom of the Email, I'd suggest adding a Hyperlink to the Economy section of the Manual .... then Managers can read the section entitled "What happens if I hit a negative balance?".

But apart from that minor point.... sleepwalking into problems caused by debt seems to be entirely the fault of the Manager.

im an idiot....according to the 'poll'

but then im an idiot who has read the manual properly and never gone close to going into debt.....despite having come into the game as a total Noob and only started in S4.

so who is the real idiot?

Well the way I see all this is that there are two basic types of people related to this kind of thing. There are the ones who run into financial or other trouble or lose a game that they thought they should win, and they blame themselves for running into trouble or for losing the game in the first place. They tend to take responsibility for their own actions and do something about it, such as selling one or more very good players, or changing their playbook or the like. They accept the current system and try to work within it and abide by the rules.

Then there are the types who run into financial trouble or lose games and blame everyone else, the system or something else. Rather than seeing themselves at fault, they whine and complain that it is unfair. This type of person tries to convince others that everyting would be so much better if we only made one more change to fit the needs of this one person or one small group. And rather than accepting the rules and living within the system we are given, they want it changed and want it changed now, or else they quit.

Now, I have nothing against changes nor do I have anything against quick changes. However, they should be well thought through and they should really be an improvement. I would have accepted the change in the debt ceiling based on the fact that in this game 500,000 is peanuts. However, changing it to 5 million probably would have just put the financial repercussions off for a little while. Some would still run into problems and then would have an even bigger hole to climb out of. What do we do then, raise the debt limit to 10 million, 50 million, 100 million???

Good suggestions are made all the time, but bad ones are made all the time too. Someone has to distinguish between good and bad, and I believe that Pete is quite good at doing this.

By the way, I did not vote in that poll, so maybe I am also an idiot for not voting.

Here's the thing...the debt might have been solved overnight, but a RZA week runs from Wednesday to Sunday then Sunday to Wednesday.

This is when your football club, as a business, will deposit their weekly takings and pay the club wage and facility bill.

Not only is there a bit about it in the manual, but its also on the calender screen under "training and financial update"

How hard is that to spot?

If you read the original post about the debt punishment, you will find that i supported the OP's complaint about it being too harsh, because their should be some contract system in place for the player(s) and if they have been paid, they should not be cut. Even if this means more debt to the club.

I did vote no in the poll because i believe 5 million to be alot harder to get out of than 500,000...maybe that I am an idiot, or at least very indecisive, that's for other people to decide. Those people who choose to do this better not live in glass houses.
