My regular defense runs a variety of formations. In a few scrimmages, I'll break that rule. I'll test a few of these new (3-1-7) style formations. Also, I'm testing a few things I heard in the community. 1 the hypothesis that 4-3 sucks or is not bad. Second, a frequent blitzing 3-4 should get sacks like crazy, or doom my pass defense. I scheduled two scrimmages and used a few bot games to test this new defense. It uses 3-3 and 3-4 mostly, with zero 4-3 in the rules. If you have a similar playbook, let me know what you discovered.

After two intra-team scrimmages, the new anti43 playbook results in no sacks. Zero in spite of playing 3-4 and 3-3-5 with 15 % blitzing.

The community here offers hypotheses that I can test. The rule here is to test it, not accept it faithfully. I wouldn't be surprised if another manager made a mistake, did a little trick. It is a sad fact that I have but one team to test my idea. Repeitition might reveal more.
Admin, thanks for the new formations, like flexbone and 3-1-7. I missed an announcement somewhere. nice surprise. |
