I have 2 questions regarding people’s Depth Chart.

1) Do you fill your DC with 55 players or less? If less, how many?
2) How many players do you have at each position?

I personally do fill my roster with 55 players, the exact number of players at each position changes a little bit depending on injuries and match-ups but my base DC looks like this.

QB 2
WR 5
RB 4
FB 3
TE 3
OL 9
Total Offense 26 players
DL 10
LB 7
CB 5
SF 5
Total Defense 27 players
K 1
P 1
Total 55 players

For Gunners I usually play 2/3 fast back-up DBs/LBs and for KR I usually play 2/3 back-up WRs/RBs.

LB 8
CB 5

Always 55
Fill main positions with the players I want in the rotations
O reserves after first 2 players in KR
D reserves after first 2 players in G

I always have 55 players. It depends on their quality - for newer teams I advise to have less players and cut from depth chart some whose skills are lowest and their apperance can have negative impact on result.

Yep i know players can do what they want and its all about personal preference and 'finding an edge' - but the above, to me, is just wrong and makes a mockery of the game.

Is that a mockery if the player would never see playtime in the PB? NFL teams do all sorts of crazy roster stuff... "out of position"? (is Dexter McCluster an RB or WR?) or when the 2 TE sets started in the NFL?

I would be disappointed if he did have a dedicated player in the TE slot that never saw playtime- - that's idiocy. Although better deception on his part might be to dual-position his last 2 WRs in the TE slots for the DC

I can understand players using individual players to play multi positions - thats fairly standard.

but to have NO player in the DC at all because you simply know you are never going to use them or any formation that requires that position (and i believe that the SG4WR is about the only one) to me makes a mockery of a game doing its damndest to be as good a simulation to RL as possible - given that its an online sim.

To me it would be like someone finding that going 6-3-2 in soccer, but not having an goalkeeper, works great and you just keep churning it out.

No team doesnt have a TE - no team runs/passes out of the same formation play in/play out. I respect the right for players to do as they choose - but they get zero respect for doing it. I doubt they care - but im allowed my opinion as much as anyone.

Singleback Spread also now. Careful what you say you'll have the Admirals version of the village idiot piping up from his hamsters cage

BTW there are 4 (out of 10 offensive formations) using no TEs: Gun Spread, Singleback Spread, Wishbone and Flexbone

1,4 or whatever - it still makes a mockery of the game. To not even have one on the DC just shows the guys line of thinking. Applied to all managers out there who do the same.
