As you might know, we are placing Ads in the forum and the gamecenter if users without having a Supporter Account are viewing these areas. The simple question is: is this number of Ads acceptable, should we add more Ads, or less? What is your opinion?

The ads are not bad at all. If you need the revenue, there is space to the right and left that you could have some vertical banners as long as they don't impede our browsing/navigation.

I have a supporter account and if it would help the game I wouldn't mind seeing adds even with a supporter account.

I do not mind support a game when i like, and when i do so, than i want to be ad free! This is most time why i do support games: i like them, i want to play convenient.

Otherwise think about introduce a lower fee "supporting plus ad" level and keep ad free level at current price

We are paying so little, so I wouldn't mind some adds at the same time, as long as it is not overdone.

If the revenue brought in by advertising helps with the running costs of the game then do it. At the moment we have a 1 in 4 ratio of supporters to members. Working on the current number of 840 members that's only 210 supporters. Annual revenue €4,200. We know from what Pete says that's enough to cover server costs but not external advertising so the extra has to come from somewhere if this game is going to continue growing

It depends on the survival of the game.
I dont want to see any adds if I am paying supporter fees.
For all of those people that dont have supporter,I think they should have to see adds, that can be their way of paying for the game.
I suggest that there be no adds that are distracting to the user..for example..adds that flash..and has moving text and pictures in them.
Those distract the user and are quite frankly very annoying.

I dont know how the non-supporter is set up,because I have always had supporter from Day 1.
But maybe you can let non-supporters use certain features like the game center, but with the condition that they will have to see adds there.
Then maybe with the revenue you get from adds, you can do a bit of advertising of your own.

I'm not a supporter and I have no problem with the present level of adverts - it literally adds a little flavour.

Like the idea of putting it to the sides though - but this is the point of view (pun intended) of those with WS monitors. Maybe we could do a pole on how many dinosaurs there are without a WS monitor?
