I think what doesn't work is as important.

Eg no-one has ever answered the carrying question. Does it do anything other than avoid fumbling. Theoretically it should do.

Catching for defenders is another thing. Does it 'work' ? Manual says it does. Manual says returners can use catching. They can't which means you can't trust it really.

The Positioning question - should you need to train your QB up to 30 positioning just to see if it does anything. If it doesn't do anything its a waste to say the least.

I would appreciate it if you could make a difference when stating facts, or guesses. Remember pls, newbees might believe in these "facts"...

Carrying: it does more than avoiding fumbling

Catching: does a KR not catch the ball before he returns it? And if the receiver goes for an interception, does he have to CATCH the ball?

Positioning: Mr. Spock would use logic...without knowing about Football probably

Ah but does a RZA Returner use the catching skill ? obviously they have to catch it but seems to be automatic at the moment.

Page 1 of the Special Teams thread suggests they don't currently use it (might be implemented).

Apologies if misinterpreted.

As we are working on that part of the game right now it would be foolish somehow to refuse how important catching WILL BE once the new Special-Team-thing goes online. And you were referring to defenders as well, and your call was simply wrong on that part. This is why I had to mention about assumptions versus facts. This was nothing personal

Okies

Just a communication issue methinks. I was asking whether or not defenders used catching or not , I wasn't saying they didn't (it was the returners I was making assumptions on ). Soz should have been a bit clearer.

Anyways off to train some receivers in carrying now methinks.

and we clear up all debates by clearing listing so in the manual

expmale does positioning come in a play on pass or run defense right not the definition is so vague it up is up in the air.Weather it is or is not

I have no doubt that POS helps defenders for both pass and run plays. It helps cover receivers, helps DL position themselves vs OL and no doubt a LB with higher POS will typically make tackles on RBs sooner.

me and you both believe this as experience mangers(but in truth we don't know for 100%) but some argue that it has no effect. And that would be Laid to rest by putting to black and white in the manual.
Or like more recent the debate on positioning playing any role on QB. And weather it could help a QB throw betters passes.

Or what need to RB to break tackles outside the physicals skills, There are some that think that footwork may play role. But I don't know I would think not but good footwork is need in real life for any RB

Or clearing the debate up on WR catching the ball.We know the WR needs catching but does positioning effect the act of catching or just the ability to run his rout. And does vison only come in to play after he make the catch or does it play a part of the act in making the catch

It is many and thing like vision footwork and positioning come in to a lot of question and debate on what they can do for each position.
I have my opinion on each but it opinion it not a fact I would just like the simple fact written in stone.

If this would be about a maze, and we would tell you in the manual "go these steps: "left, left, straight, right, left, goal"...would you play the game???

No it about give new mangers the tools and under standing so they know how to operate there vehicle(meaning players) through the maze.
As I'm not asking for the weights of these skill just a for sure answer to end these endless debate that I seen pop up since I joined in season 2

But if we say "on a punt you need tackling, carrying and passing"...wouldn't it be like "left left straight right goal"?
