I have 14 milllion. Which makes me hella lame. How do I create a better offense with that money? Should I focus on upgrading the line or the skill positions first? Can you guys look at my entire roster and give me tips?

Obviously you need some talent to create a decent offense and eventually win. However, you first order of business is to finish your stadium and then eventually invest in coaches so training is more efficient. I wouldn't start buying expensive players on the TL until you've completed that.
In terms of improving offense, work on creating an effective playbook. Look at your past games and see what works and then emphasize those tactics in future playbooks. What's your average gain rushing versus passing? Is your 3rd down conversion percentage good? When to go for it on 4th down? Is you FG kicker's completion percentage good? When you know the answer to these questions, you can start to adjust your playbook accordingly. Steve SD Blitz |

When you start this game, you have to play a season or so of "Stadium Tycoon" before you get to worry about actual football; it's just one of those things. A few things to keep in mind. Starting this Tuesday - - I know you're currently fighting with four other teams for that last Wildcard spot, so it might be later - - if you're out of your league's playoffs, you can play free friendlies on league days (Tues & Sat), to help boost your income and get your stadium done even faster. If you're eliminated, I'll gladly offer you a match on Tuesday. As for building your team, start working on your draft board. The draft is going to be your best opportunity to pick up some talent. The way the TM is going lately, $14M might get you 1 (2 if you're lucky) draft-quality player. If you are desperate to pick up some talent on the TM, look for 30+ year-olds. They tend to go a lot cheaper, because they're not a long-term investment. But give yourself a small budget (no more than $1M, I'd say) and stick to it. Stadium investment pays for itself in about 7-8 home games (The Community will surely correct me if I'm wrong on that one), so that $14M, if you put it all into your stadium, will earn you about $30M/season. I know Stadium Tycoon isn't the most fun game in the world, but it's the best way to put yourself in a position to compete on the field. No matter what you do, make sure you have enough cash left to cover the off-season. Keep playing friendlies during the off-season to cover your weekly expenses. |
