I'm really enjoying the new format, I think it adds a nice bit of drama to proceedings. I like being able to adjust things once I know who I got in the first round and who else has gone, that's really useful. Should stop teams ending up with a bunch of similar players too; I won't be getting 2 cornerbacks and a safety from one draft again!

My only complaint is that it ends too close to the first game of the season, I'd prefer a bit more time to assess things. Just an extra day or 2 would be enough.

Simply impossible without adding another week to the offseason - which is out of focus

But what is in focus is Petes plan to take over RZA by only kicking field goals and touchbacks

Personally, the advantage I see is that I'm not likely to draft mulitple players for the same position if I don't want them eg 4 RB's in two years.

I'm not changing my draft order for the second round, but I'll have to wait and see for the third.

What I found most interesting is that 10 of the first 16 picks in my league were for players not even in my top 32, but that only 2 of the second 16 picks were outside my top 32. That says to me that the higher ranked, and usually more expereinced players are looking for the same sorts of key stats when ranking their draft picks.

One final observation, it's almost impossible to tell which players have been picked due to the country/name change. In future would it be possible to turn off this function untill after the final draft day?

Or just leave the names on the drafted sheet the same: don't a l t e r them when they change.

Other than adjusting the distribution of players within the draft (Seadevils 1.1 only has 3 OL, and they all suck), the draft is pretty much perfect.

Even that randomness of distribution is realistic, though. IRL, some draft classes are QB-heavy, some are RB-heavy, etc...
