nice one canico.

I actually se some good things here, since acorn wasent a team to take notice on at first but now they have been a little powerhouse in the afc

Barnim steel seemed to put up a challenge but they have dipped in the lat 2 seasons i hope its nothing serious. Canico´s team also seems to be a contender.

Mystarting guys is getting old (28-30years) so we might se some changes very soon

Lions managed to get their feet wet with a win in Romania agains't the struggling Maciucarii. After a ugly lost at the hands of the Ravencitos, Maciucarii weren't able to out play the Mighty Lions who after a well lost game against the Rams managed to pull the win in today's game. Still Lions owner told reporters that this season his team is not to be expected to challenge for the postseason, he told us that his wave of new coaches will take time to replace and that takes it's toal on a team. Still fans were excited to see the team win their first game in week II of the season.

In the other games of Week II, reference for the Blue Bulls who bounced back from a ugly lost and managed to win against Lanmeur. Gattopardo got steamrolled by the Gladiatori after the suprise week I win over the 'Jackets. CardiacJackets who played a great game against one of the top teams in the league, the Rams had to leave everything on the field to beat them. The only upset (IMO) of week II was for me the Acorns losing at home to the Eagles, did not saw that one coming aldo I considered that a high risk game for the Acorns, still thought they would win. Worth mentioning the great game played by the Portlanders against the defending champs making it a close game when many (including myself) thought it would be a one side affair. Specialy after the show the Ducks put up last week.

I think that's it. Good games, close games and hard fought battles. Such is Fire 1.1 !

More action in week III. This time around your very won Lions add a long travel to US soil to face the division rivals Oklahoma City Comanche. In a solid defensive performance they managed to add another win to their record, a tough game for those who didn't followed, the Comanche did a good job most of the time in holding the Lions offense down, but Lions defense were even better and almost pitched a shutout. In the end Lions fans acknowledged the great defense played by the team and were quick to encourage them.

But week III wasn't only Lions vs Comanche. No sir. We had ourselves a big game between the current champs the Ducks, and the former champs, the Gladiators. And it wasn't a fair contest, Ducks were all over the Gladiators, the cold russia weather who usualy is no adversary for the elite Gladiators side, this time around was too much to handle. A uncommon 27-0 score line let's us know just how much dominant the Ducks were. There were alegations of possible PED usage by the Ducks, but that remains to be seen. What matters is that this win is already in the books. This outcome to me was a suprise do to the final score, also the Rams loosing to the Islanders at home was a bit suprising despite the two teams beeing very equal on paper, I still would of given the edge to the Rams. Blackwings and Maciucarii made it close against the two italian sides, GLADIATORI and Lambruschia, but in the end they couldn't take the extra step to cause the upset. Ravencitos saw their winning streak broken in Russia, in a good game to follow. Aldo hardly a upset. JACKETS put a beating over the Spartans who continue to struggle and remain with zero wins, while the Jackets won their first game in hope to straighten their season. Also reference for a great game between the Underachievers and the Eagles with only a fieldgoal separating them in the end. Great game. So that's all for Week III, not many upsets but plenty of great and entertaining games to follow, here in the hottest league in RZA.

And with week IV in the books the Mighty Lions snagged an all important home win against the division rivals Islanders. Hard to explain what happened to the Islanders team because they just couldn't keep up with the high tempo offense and tough as nails defense that the Lions presented, Lions looked good and looked on control the entire game, this win should defenitely be a major boost to their confidence. After the game team owner Canonico had this to say about his team chances of winning the division for a second consecutive year...

"To early to tell, we made alot of changes in our coaching staff, we think we managed to improve on what we had and now are looking to build on that, and solidify our team as a division contender. I think other teams are more suited to play the part of favourites in our division, such as the Islanders who despite this tough loss are still a top team in this division. What I say is this, we play to win every Tuesday or Saturday, we don't go down easy and we don't bend over to anyone, they want to beat us they better be ready to leave their skin on the field."

And more he didn't said, leaving abruptly the press conference after some other reporter questioning him about a probable PED usage of some of his players in some games.

Lions fans continue to show major support to the team showing everyone that the good 'ol Detroit Pride is quite present on the field. And BTW they also have some massive burgers to go with it! Just couldn't found the beers, these guys were to smart for me.

Now to quickly try to analyse what happened around the league in week IV. Let's start with what made my jaw drop when I saw the result...the powerhouse Underachievers got beat in spain by the up and coming franchise Ravencitos! Yes, it is true you can go a double check if you want, but I tell you what, Ravencitos are having a terrific start of their season, they have been playing great games and this score despite suprising is also a warning to future Ravencitos opponents to not take them lightly. Underachievers got beat by a fantastic 4th quarter display by the Ravencitos who managed to outscore the powerhouse by 14 zip. We also had late game drama with the Underachievers trying what would of been a miracle kick from 63 yards deep, they missed it. Ravencitos celebrated and are now 3-1 ties with their opponent leading the NC East. The upset of the week to me was the Blue Bulls beating Lambruschia in the Bahamas 20-13. Seems like the Italian side didn't enjoyed the summer breeze all that much and got stuck behind a big palmtree all game long watching coconuts drop. A good game from the Blue Bulls tho, they who are now right behind (1 game back) both the Ravencitos and the Underachievers.
In terms of upsets those where it in my opinion. Worth mentioning is the fact that (finally) the Spartans got their first win, and in a close game against a divisional adversary, the Maciucarii who also was looking for their first win. Nothing more relevant happened this week, or if it did I missed it. So continue to play and outplay others, and have fun, Fire 1.1 will continue in just a few moments...

Welcome back Lions fans! Week V is over and boy oh boy did the Lions put up a performance! In one of the best defensive performances 'till date by the Lions, they shut down the NasheDeloTabak offense. While the offense was slowly putting points on the board, the Lions managed to seal the deal with a masterfull 3rd Quarter of a terrific 2nd half. With this result the Lions took the 1st place of the division away from the Rams who had a bye week. In the end of the game Lions fans where visibly excited as they greeted the players with high 5's.

In the rest of the league we had some close games. In one of the most interesting games (for me) the 'Jackets traveled to the Netherlands to face the Islanders, and they proved yet again that they are to be taken seriously, after their slow start they are picking up the pace and this time the Islanders where the victims. The Guardians upset the higher seeded Gattopardo to achieve their 1st win of the season. After last week win the Spartans continue their nightmare season after another loss seeing them fall even further behind, this time at home to the Eagles. Underachievers bounced back well from their stunning loss at the hands of the Ravencitos as they beat struggling Maciucarii. Ravencitos on the other hand couldn't manage another upset against another top team, the Gladiatori. But they are still doing amazingly well, specialy considering their (thus far) tough schedulle. The biggest suprise however to me was the Acorns beeing defeated at home by fellow spanish side Destroyers, in a close game the Destroyers won by a TD diference. Then we had confortable wins by Magpies and Ducks while the Gladiators suprisingly struggled to defeat the Portlanders in Sweeden. Credit to the Portlanders who had a good game plan and almost left Sweeden with a W.
That's it for this week Fire top league, with the championship reaching the half stage soon the games will gain a even higher meaning to everyone...expect fearsed battles until we discover who will succeed the Ducks as the Reigning Fire 1.1 Champ!

"Well that was uncalled for.." Said the Lions manager after his team got steamrolled by a resilient Steel team this weekend. Lions offense couldn't do a thing against their defense, and to top it off, Lions forgot to show up on defense as well. And with that we had a terribad outcome for the Lions this week. "Guess the bye week was bad for us, but we are still doing well and over our own expectations we are tied for first place with a power house in our division, if we finish second we may be able to secure an unlikely wildcard spot for the playoffs." Said the GM/Owner Canonico to the press in Germany after the game. Good thing they had good translators on the scene because Canonico can't speak a lick of German.

Some of the Lions fans that traveled with the team where naturaly disapointed with this poor performance.

Thank you. But I do (did) them to fuel forum activity and discussions (in a positive way), a healthy trash talk per say. But there isn't any activity shown in this league in terms of posting, so I will just do my Lions resumes and lose less time with write ups.
