Although it's not the final that would be expected to live up to the Cups name. Usually the Sharks v Electric are tight defensive games. I think in the previous match ups between us (excluding friendlies) both teams have hit double figures just twice possibly three times. And only one game has been settled with the winner having more than a one score lead.

Congrats to Shard End Sharks with an impressive 24-7 victory over Derbyshire Electric. No, the games weren't "shootouts" but man, what a great series this was. Some awesome competition, and so close in so many matches. Thanks to all teams who participated, and good luck in the rest of your season.

well done Wadders - i should have given the final the thought and attention it deserved really - but thats my fault and you probably still would have won - though maybe by a lesser scoreline

Thanks to bshows for creating this tourney - enjoyable. Apart from the odd play here and there as usual defenses dominated the game. Moving the ball wasn't difficult for either of us but getting into scoring range was. I just hope the three drafts we participated in last night were as fruitful as the FC. I will take part in more auction drafts in the future though. Thanks bshows for the tournament and I'll be happy to defend my title in the Sunday Shootout II |
