Pete, i didn't put this in the bug section, but i found some transfers over 80M that are not in the TOP100. Why is that?

Both buyers teams went BOT, so my guess: The transfer is somehow deleted with other stats of the team, once falling BOT.

If you go to that team's Transfer History, the player is still there, bought for 122.2M and 88.48M, so why were they deleted from the TOP100? The transfer happened. Ooo, and the first player Hernan is Vince Scarborough, both player were purchased by the same manager, who yes, went BOOT, but the transfers are there. They should be listed. |

The database script does scan the players on transfer transactions, sorts them and displays them. But that transactions TO TEAM has to be managed by a human manager on time of the script running. When I look on that TOP100 list, I see #1 Blitzkrieg, #2 Peters team and then it gets interesting,because #3 and #4 team is the Spartans listed, but clicking on it reveals, it's now a different owner. And none of the teams names on that list I clicked on is BOT, so I think the scripts does throw away the current BOT teams. Is that OK, likely not, but there might be some other sideeffects I can't see and know, why this makes sense. Or it was never intendent to be that way, regarding BOT and ownership and so on, because it was never thought about to run the game for 57+ seasons. The best solution in design phase in the past would likely been not to recycle the team ids, but to create always new ones, once the team falls BOT and to keep the primary owners 'history' intact, but I also can understand why recycling might make sense. |

Sorry to disagree. The whole story why I was reusing the team id ... i consider team 3603 a franchise. It might change owners, ight change names or locations, but it is still franchise 3603.
At the same time, we do only show transfers of franchises having an owner at the time of displaying it. |
