The HAMBURG SEA LIONS have signed 29yo RB Burt Cantwell from the Nanaimo Bluebacks to upgrade their rushing attack ![]() I remember training this guy ![]() Awesome
He had a rough start with us, though: played two games and fumbled/lost the ball 4 times

Sorry you missed out on promotion by 1 point. I was looking forward to circling our potential matchup next year as a special one. That very kind of you to say, thank you
But first we’d have to clean some things up. As Gemini so aptly put it when I asked about that 4th quarter: The HAMBURG SEA LIONS were losing primarily due to a catastrophic Safety that resulted from poor field position and a failed run play, combined with a costly fumble in the opponent's territory. Meanwhile, the mystics capitalized on these mistakes, executing a long touchdown pass and building a lead. And as long as we still make those mistakes, games against you probably will be circled by us, too… but with a big L added to it ![]() |

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS organization is pleased to announce that two very important players for our franchise have signed new contracts today.
WR Dau Ngige, 28yo third round pick from the S55 Draft, was offered a follow up paper to his franchise deal that he was bound to finish this season. This solidifies his status as #1 pass catcher for QB Bryant Stover, as which he comes off a season with 67 catches for 781 yards and 8 touchdowns. With this contract being signed the SEA LIONS will continue to have 3 premier WRs beyond this season, with a lot of talent coming up behind them. The second player putting ink on paper today is 25yo OL Roberto Naranjo, who the SEA LIONS first signed as a free agent in S59. Already well developed and highly experienced, he was given the franchise contract that was made free by the Ngige-signing. He’ll be with the team until at least S67, and we’re happy to be able now to fully develop his abilities, to make him an even more valuable staple for the offensive line… … which we need to further establish ourselves as a force in the Sea Devils league ![]() |
