Has seen anyone a higher MVP score for a non-QB player? Most player don't accumulate this many points over a whole season!

Seeing that my players never win any awards, there must be.

Quick spot check:

Most MVPs for players over all leagues

Highest non-QB is Pete's WR: Farris Hussain

91 points so far this season!

Why Watch Em'

The Mantis will pit their #2 pass defense against the current #1 passing offense in the Deflators. Both teams have won 2 in a row. Mr. Dumpling once said in S34: "My miserly ways are catching up with me - I hit the meat of my schedule and realise I’m not as good as I thought". He started 7-0 that season on route to finishing 9-7. The Mantis begin a stretch with 5 straight games against teams with winning records. Will they say different...or the same? The Deflators on the other hand are assured a minimum of 5 more wins and the NC North crown. Still, this game will help them keep pace for a first-round bye in the playoffs. The Deflators have won all 6 matchups between these 2, although none of the last 5 have been by more than 10 points.

Well, you hit the nail square on the head.....big time. My passing defense was a bit to weak though. Deflators picked my defense apart, but at least I had a few drives in the 4th quarter that could have resulted in this 7 point loss being a different result!

Great game Deflators......and really good "why to watch" paragraph....Really really good!!!!

Thunder Week 8 By The Numbers: Results and Prieview

3rd down conversions matter. The Deflators (7-1) showed yet again a resolve to play keep-away football with them having 35:12 (59%) time of possessions. They ran 81 plays to the Kokomo Mantis (4-3) 67 and win a tight one by the score of 17-10. The Deflators held the Mantis to 2 for 12 on 3rd down and forced 3 first-half interceptions. Despite that, the Mantis and the Deflators were tied at 10 apiece until a 2-yard touchdown run from HB Nolan Mcgrath proved to be the winning score with 3:55 left to play. This was a defensive beauty from both teams, with 5 combined interceptions, 5 combined sacks, 1total forced fumble, 2 total fumble recoveries, and a combined 8 for 26 on 3rd downs. 27-year-old homegrown S31 YA promoted LB Les Carter finished with 7 tackles (0 missed), 2 sacks, and 1 interception.

We are all witnesses! Noone thought the Willemstad Bridges would rise so fast and win the Thunder League Championship a few seasons ago. Wiesengrund is serious folks and seems to be on a similar mission. His Vienna Falcons (6-1) beat Wap Bam Boogie ( 4-4) 28-26 after trailing 13-0 at the end of 1 quarter. They needed only 19 team carries to gain 119 yards on the ground (4.8 avg), and once again forced feed WR Troy Leggit (What were the Burnaby Bruisers thinking selling this guy for 1 mill?) who had 17 catches (3 dropped), 153 yards, 85 YAC (despite o broken tackles), and 2 touchdowns. Leggit on the season now has 86 catches, 855 yards, and 9 touchdowns! Credit Boogie for a never-say-die attitude, however, scoring on a 39 yard TD pass with 19 seconds left.

The Waukesha Wolverines (5-2), Duluth Eskimos (6-1), Kalapana Wild Thangs (6-2), Basterds (7-0), and Xu Da (4-4) all proved to be better prepared than their opponents, while the Vicious Attack Dogs (8-0), Barossa Bulldogs (5-2), Totoras Patriots (4-3), and Valiant Pinoys (6-2) all beat bots.

(EDIT: Error with the bye teams. Will correct layer this day)

Upcoming Games To Watch

Barossa Bulldogs (5-2) @ Woflings (6-1)
Basterds (7-0) @ Waukesha Wolverines (5-3)
Totoras Patriots (4-3) @ Inbhir Narann (4-3)
Vicious Attack Dogs (8-0) @ Kokomo Mantis (4-3)
Vienna Falcons (6-1) @ STATE oF (4-4)

Why Watch Em'

Barossa has the #1 rushing offense and #2 passing defense entering this game and sits 2 behind the Basterds in the AC West. They will need to avoid turnovers as they do have 10 fumbles which leads the Thunder. Any hopes at the division title rest on a win here. The Woflings are coming off a bye and have a one-game lead over the Fredericksburg Comanches in the AC East, a division they usually win with their eyes closed. Protecting their QB will be key as they are 3rd amongst the human team with 17 sacks allowed. The Woflings have won all six matchups between these 2 teams.

The Basterds are one of the 3 remaining unbeaten Thunder teams and begin a 3 game gauntlet starting with the Wolverines, and concluding @ Woflings, and home against the Eskimos. Thus, looking ahead is not wise for this team which is currently in the top 10 in offensive and defensive passing and rushing. The Wolverines need a victory or will fall to second in the NC West as Bulldozer plays a bot. The Wolverines are hard to run against as they are 1st in rushing defense and will need it vs the Basterds who leads the league with 177 broken tackles. The Wolverines are also second in the league with 16 interceptions. The Basterds have won all 3 matchups between these two teams including a 16-15
thriller last season on the road.

The Patriots sit 3rd in the NC South while Narann sits in second. Both teams, however, sit outside the wildcard spot due to surprising efforts from the Falcons and Bulldozer. The Patriots have the 9th best rushing offense while Narann has the 9th best rushing defense. If this game comes down to passing, it seems Narann has the advantage as they also have the 3rd best pass defense, and twice as many sacks (22-11). Narann has won 7 of the past ten matchups and 3 straight over the Patriots. Those last 3 meetings have a combined win margin of 8 points!
This is the first of two meetings these two will have this season.

The Attack Dogs are one of three unbeaten Thunder teams remaining and boast the 3rd best rushing attack offensively, but facing the Mantis who are 4th in tackles for a loss with 79. The Mantis passing attack ranks 5th in the league and will face a defense that's 23rd in pass defense, but first in interceptions (20) and sacks (44). This makes for a great game indeed! The Mantis has won 7 of the last 10 meetings. This is the final meeting this regular season with the Attack Dogs winning 39-14 earlier.

The Falcons keep winning and trial the NC East by one game. Their pass defense seems to be their strong suit. They are 6th in sacks with 17 on the season. STATE oF is 5th in rushing offense so the Falcons run defense will be tested this game. STATE oF sits 7th with 11 interceptions so WR Troy Leggit will need to run perfect routes in this game or it could be a long one. STATE oF has yet to beat or be competitive against any teams they faced that currently hold a playoff spot. This is the first-ever meeting between these two teams.

I don't think it's gonna be anytime soon, I mostly positioned myself now for playoff contention, I'm pretty sure to be a few seasons away from EL Niveau.

Not easy to build auch a Strong roster, although it is easier than in the early days of this game.

Season 44 at the latest. Knowledge of playbook depth needed to give his team an edge will give him an advantage of other newer teams building their team strictly on the TM.

lol Kevin, I just read that I had won 7 of the last 10 games, but you failed to mention that you have won 3 of the last 4. That means more than out of the last 10.

I foresee an Attack Dogs win 52-17 this game. Should not even be close. That will put you as winning 4 of the last 5 against me.
