I'll kick this one off.
First, I would like to say it has been an absolute pleasure playing in the same division as Gladiatori Roma ("GR"). I think they struggled a bit financially last season having missed the Media Center payouts, but they fielded a really strong team and won the division, despite being swept by yours truly. I expect nothing but frustration again this season and for GRto take our division. But, please don't switch leagues on us my friend! I want another shot! Good luck to everyone this season. It looks like it is going to be wide open this go around. |

I wanted to say welcome to the Glastonbury Grail Knights and Kamloops Mad Dogs. We lost one manager from last season who is trashing Fire in his new forums despite having no success here, so we are happy to have upgraded in terms of competition and class! Good luck and thanks again for making the jump to Fire, regardless of your reasons.
I am editing this message to also include a welcome back to managers that joined last season and are still here. This is a tough game due to so many moving parts. Success in this game does not come quick! Thank you for hanging in there! I have played a little over a year and am by no means a great manager. I am still picking a lot up. With that said, don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions. Last edited on 2023-03-11 13:42:52 by BoaTek |

I am not sure I know what you mean by the switch? Are you talking about going from the academy to the senior roster?
You should never need to manually calculate wages, but there is a good explanation of how to estimate salaries in the manual. I will link it below. The best way in my opinion is just to look at your team spreadsheet. If you go to Team->Players on the menu bar, there is an option to download your entire roster. The Wage column is what you are currently paying and the Est. Wage is their expected wage based on their 2 highest skills that determine salary. Those skills are Agility, Positioning, Vision, Tackling, Blocking, Footwork, Carrying, Catching, Passing, Kicking and Punting. So to calculate manually, you take the two highest values and average them. The manual shows a chart and better explanation here: Manual - Player Salaries Essentially you just take your wage from the chart and multiply by 1.19 (per the manual) for evey point more. So for a player that averages 31, take $15,500 and multiply by 1.19 (per the manual). That will give you a rough estimate of expected salary. With all that said, I may have misunderstood the question. Please let me know if I have. I find it easier to just use the spreadsheet estimate though and then try and plan what my players abilities will look like in the future when his contract runs out. |

Switch to HR Contracts. All that is hard to understand. I need a simple format

If you have an HR, you can sign players for less than the estimated wage I was talking about before. Just offer your players 86% of the estimated salary and they will usually take it. You will see managers in the forums saying 85%, but I don't have luck at 85% and a failed negotiation attempt just raises what the player will eventually settle for.
Just be sure to round up and keep in mind that players will want more than 85% for franchise contracts. I suggest just playing around with it and tracking your results. |

Thanks to the both of you .
Now if my team could close out some of the other games and be more consistent it'd be fantastic, but I'm just happy to be playing tough against some of the big teams here! |
