I'm hardly a rookie, but something's amiss this season. I have been allowing 2-3 70+ passing TDs per game this season without overcommitting to run. Usually it's big-i vs 4-3-4 followed by missed tackles by safeties. Is there smth specific that goes into this scenario?

Take a look here: Defense Playbook

Search in the forum, there are some hints.

That's the thing, I haven't been picked apart like this even in the Elite, so 4-3-4 was working fine before.

As a manager who has been playing your defense and losing I was always wondering how you got away with committing to this defense like you did. I do remember, though, when I looked at your line-up that you had a strong linebacking corps (which you still have) and thought that must be the key... but maybe it's the CBs and SFs that are not as potent this season?

Thanks for your input, guys! Will try to do more research in the forums. Apparently I've been playing this wrong all the time (while making it to Elite once lol).

Some managers said at a point that by not having a SF coach, long pass TD happen more often. So perhaps that is one more reason.
Beside the SF coach, there is of course the players skills and the defensive formations.
If you don't have a SF coach, you better have good SF skill players.
But of course, there are those games when you opponent can get a 80 yards pass TD against the 3-3-5 or 3-4-4. This sort of things do happen.
