2016-03-30 14:29:12 - Elite League is waiting in Season 21Report Abuse
After winning the Conference Championship Galaxy D1 NC versus slider and his Hurricanes by 36:6, the Drinkers are eligible to play Elite League next season.
The main sponsor, a famous brewery from Dublin, Ireland, was providing a few barrels Black Stuff for free to Players, Staff and Fans on the aftergame party, just for the right framing of this event. "Paint the arena black" was the call...and the Drinkers followed it.
The teams management is looking forward to this new experience, knowing, the Drinkers won't have a big shot in this league full of high quality teams. However, we take this challenge and hope, you will be part of it.
But for now, let's focus on the Bowl game versus the Pub Gang, happening upcoming Tuesday 7 pm at their venue. If you want to travel to this game, the Drinkers management is proud to offer less expensive opportunities to get there by plane, train or bus. Just contact 0800-DRINKERS for more information.
2015-08-11 15:19:50 - Luis Czerwonka, former Kicker, Hall of Famer now...Report Abuse
The Board of the Drinkers is really proud to announce Luis Czerwonka being a member of the Teams Hall of Fame.
Luis was with the team from the moment it was established, that was back in season 1. He retired after season 15, after playing not less than 516 official games for his team.
He made 1304 field goal attempts, and 841 times he scored 3 points. The longest field goal was made from 66 yards distance.
His PAT stats are impressive as well! Out of 3312 attempts he scored 100%.
His outstanding attitude, made him a great teammate for every single player standing with him on the grid, and for staff and coaches as well
Thank you, Luis! And enjoy being "benched"...
2012-10-30 19:33:24 - New namegiving sponsor...Report Abuse
The former RZA-Tackles are proud to announce: We have a new main sponsor.
This results more or less automatically in a name change for the team, it is now called the Guinness Drinkers United, GDU.
The future is bright for the Drinkers, since this "lemonade" is giving wings, really...Some few tasks have still to be done...
2012-08-30 20:53:38 - Coaches call management for some motivationReport Abuse
The Coaches squad of the RZA.org-Tackles issued a petition, signed by the full staff, players and a good portion of our fanbase.
The Board held a meeting to discuss the whole thing, the benefits, consequences and so on. The decision was made to move the whole Team to a new location.
To get the best out of our season, with the existing staff and players, the RZA.org-Tackles will move to Ireland, Dublin’s St James's Gate Brewery - well know as home of Guinness.
Especially the medical staff raised a Pint (or two) on that, knowing very well you cannot win without having some doping.
So a big Sláinte to Arthur, and thanks for the warm "Fáilte"..
2012-05-17 09:26:46 - This years Draft result - Tackles are happyReport Abuse
The Board of the RZA Tackles would like to say welcome to our new teammembers.
Yuriy Markov (LB), 20, Russia
We believe Yuriy will extend our Linebackers squad with his outstanding physicals and more than average understanding of the game. He was our #1 candidate out of this years Draft.
Salaam Okafor (LB), 22, Djibouti
Salaam is just another example for the famous good work people of Djibouti are doing when it comes to teaching American Football. Salaam will be the wingman of Yuriy.
Girolamo Donati (SF), 22, Italy
Last but not least we would like to introduce Girolamo. He will be the starting Safety from now on. Since he is from Italy he will be responsible for the RZA Catering as well, to provide this healthy and good italian food to his teammates.
The Coaching Squad is quite proud about their Draft pulls. HC Haamid Madaki, 38, Burkina Faso, told "I can't wait to face our first victims this season." The RZA Tackles are traveling to visit the K´Town Beers of manager LazyDevil. Our Management, Staff, Coaches, Players and Fans are expecting nothing less than a huge victory.

2011-12-27 21:21:30 - Haamid Madaki new Head coachReport Abuse
The 36 years young Haamid Madaki from Burkina Faso will be the new Head coach of the RZA.ORG Tackles. Even if the other team owners are laughing about this choice, the owner Pete S. Timpel told that the outstanding football knowledge of this young coach was the trigger for offering him a long term contract. "This Football thing is called Chess very often, and we need a guy who is king, pawn, rook and knight on the sideline, at the same time. Haamid will do this job, without compromises."
Head coach Madaki will be introduced to the players and other staff by tomorrow morning, and he will start leading the team within the next 2 weeks.
Coach Haamid Madaki told he is aiming for leading the team to this seasons Bowl, so the Conference Championship is the first trophy he would like to win with his new team.
RZA.ORG Tackles - Expect us!
2011-10-31 20:03:51 - SC Division clinched - check, Byeweek - check...Report Abuse
...the Supercup story of the Tackles goes on...
77096 visitors have seen a very powerful game this evening. The ROT's made a game as there wouldn't be a tomorrow. Now the team can relax, since the team has a byeweek now. The HC Pete R.S. Timpel: "I can't wait to see the schedule after the Wildcard Playoffs. The staff will do all that's possible to keep the guys on track, both in the League and the Supercup."
2011-10-23 12:29:34 - Playoffs clinched in week 13 - RZA Tackles on Top of the LeagueReport Abuse
Due a tremendous efford the RZA Tackles clinched the playoffs already, and this is week 13 out of 17.
The upcoming 4 games will give us the opportunity for some further tests, and will help to raise the teams physical shape a bit, the Head Coach Pete R.S. Timpel told this morning.
When we look at the schedule there are 4 hard games left. At the moment the Tackles are on top of their division and conference. By having the very last game of the regular season at the #2 of the conference and division, it could be very well the leadership switches again. And not enough, the Tackles are facing one of the strongest teams from the AC, and the coaching staff is quite sure they don't act as their name tells.
2011-10-04 20:53:31 - Some reviewReport Abuse
After the first weeks of this season are over it is time to have a review.
Coach Pete had tough times after he took control of the team 5 weeks ago. The RZA.ORG Tackles were a bunch of bloody rookies and veterans waiting for the retiring. One of the first jobs was to reorder the complete roster, to set up some tactics, and to prepare this so called team for its very first season.
It seems this was successful. The ROT's are leading their NC North division, as they are leading their conference. The Bye week is over now, and the team will face the second half of the season.
Will they surprise everybody, or will it be the very worst season ever?
