So, what position on the D line do you find more valuable if any? I have two draft picks on the d line (both monsters) and currently have them on the ends as in real life football de's have a major influence. Would I be better off putting them on the inside, say NT and DT?

for myself...DE, due the blitzing. This will become more important when the passing rate is increasing

My DEs are the players with the best combo of Speed & Strength. My DTs are players with high strength but lower speed.

Do you use agility for your DLers?

Same for me, high strength and speed means DE (maybe even 10+ agility), high strength but somewhat lower speed means DT, and high strength and low speed means NT.

Here are my d line players and me trying to figure out where to place them:
Name Position Age Talent* Speed Strength Tackling Agility Vision Positioning Footwork Intelligence Teamwork Trait 1 Player C DL 31 2 40.1 44.9 16.9 13.2 11.7 18 9.2 10.7 44.7 Player B DL 22 4 43.4 41.2 25.2 9.6 24.5 14.4 9.7 25.3 26.8 Player D DL 26 4.5 21.7 42.1 19.7 12.3 13.5 13.6 12.4 20.3 25.7 Slippery Player E DL 22 3.5 35.5 40.8 15.2 14.5 11.3 14.2 12.3 36.4 35.6 Brick Wall Player A DL 22 5 44.2 41.2 34.4 14.5 25.2 20.6 10.6 36.2 45.6 Heavyweight Player F DL 27 4 29.5 41.2 19.8 9.8 12.5 14.6 12.7 29.5 15.7 Slippery Player G DL 20 4 32.1 39.1 17.4 9.3 13.5 12.2 9.6 15.3 31.6 Player H DL 25 3 28.7 47.1 20.7 12.4 13.7 15.6 12.6 16.5 14.7 Player I DL 32 2.5 27.5 46.3 20.3 14.6 12.5 12.5 13.5 12.6 23.6 Player A and B are obviously my draft picks who I have at DE right now. So you can see their speed is pretty good. Players H and I are my DT/NT because of their speed and strength combo. Hope that helps a little. |
