Was thinking that we could have something to help even more the new players that arrive to the game and dont have much understanding of the abreviations, formations or positions of the game. I went and looked to the Manual and under formations its very neatly explained the way the formations align, but imagine your knowledge is so litle that you dont know who aligns where and whats his primary job in that formation. Also ive been reading that in the depth chart if you put your lets say best WR in slot 1 and in slot 2 they wont be the primary and secondary WR when for example we are using the 2 WR Shotgun Formation, by what ive read it will be the #1 and #3 that will have those roles, things like this should be better explained, and like i said when i went through the formations manual i thought this looks nice but why not kick it up a notch and name the positions on the field and apply a short description of what they do. The same goes for the Depth chart you could very easely explain new players with a picture plus a description on how its used. I used a screen grab to give you guys a idea of my suggestion, i know it looks crappy but take in mind that this done by someone with skills and not only a screen grab should look nice and pleasent to the eyes, as well as explanatory.

OK, nice one. We could add the pickorder in the formation charts as well, no problem here.

But in the DC it wouldn't make any sense, since it is formation depending

Well if you can add them in the formations then in the DC would become secondary imo, since you could go and check in the Formations in the Manual to see the specific spots each player is selected to a specific Formation, and then in the DC adjust those.

I would say that maybe adding a link to the Formations page in the DC page might be usefull to quickly go take a peak if any doubt occurs while setting up the DC.

Is it correct that it is wr #1 and #3 from the dc, who are used in shotgun 2wr? and why?

No, that's incorrect.

When 2 WRs are on the field, the spots are filled with #1 and #2 from the DC (as long as they are not substituted due to energy).
When you have 4 WRs on the field, the two left WRs are #1 and #2 from the DC, the right ones are #3 and #4.

Edit:
And this is also documented in the manual for formations:
Shotgun 2 WR otl otr ogl ogr oc wrl wrr tel ter fbr qb
Shotgun 4 WR otl otr ogl ogr oc wrl wrl1 wrr wrr1 fbr qb
The pick order from the DC is always top to bottom

This was exactly what I was thinking the other day, some graphic info on positions in the formations section. I'm from the Netherlands, without any proffessional American football on TV, there isn't much to go on. Love the graphic info, I'd like to see them on all formations.
Guess it would help a lot of new players to see all the different formations and consequences regarding to the depth charth in a quick glampse.
