Since I have them uploaded in Textats spread sheet anyway the totals are there for the skills that IMO impact the position. So I just divided them up and *2...this is my starters scores

QB 65 Draft
RB 55
RB 52
FB 51
TE 44
TE 38
WR 63 Draft
WR 47
WR 43
OL 56 Draft
OL 52 Draft Converted from FB
OL 48 Draft Converted from FB
OL 46
OL 46

DE 65 Draft
DT 64 Draft
DT 51
NT 54
DE 53 Draft
OLB 65 Draft
MLB 72 Draft
OLB 72 Draft
CB 49
CB 43
SF 50 Draft
SF 47 Draft converted from gunner

What it does help to tell me is where I am weaker. Offense is my weak point. My secondary needs work for sure.

You can also use it to check for overall consistensy by sectors. It can be used for many things, and it is simple enough to do. The results may vary depending on what each user thinks of important skills for each position.

And I would definately be more concerned about your secondary, but that's my defensive minded coaching style posting. Playing in 1.1 and with the new engine coming up adding more capacity to the passing game, I'd say you better Watch out, that secondary specialy those 2 CB's seem low when compared to your DL.

For what is worth, my best CB as 45.6, my #2 is 40.7 using the same skills method I used on the LB's that you posted, so I doubt that you used those skills to come up with your CB's ESR/EL ratings, I would assime they are much more trained then mine. Anyways my team is currently playing in 2.2 where it's windy and snowing and QB's usualy can't throw or WR can't catch so at this point I ain't worried, but I am starting to plan ahead on my secondary, specialy seeing how big plays are happening in the Friendly engine, I get it that part of it must be do to the bad defense calling, but heck man, even a bad defense call won't cost you 30, 40 or 50+ yards lamost each throw the QB makes, so I'm saying watch your six cuz long throws are coming if this keeps going the way it is.

I actually did use the same as defense it is a little more interchangeable.

If I used only Speed, tackle, and vision it would be 3 cb's at 57 each.

Ah I see, but I don't think those are enough to ratee a CB, I actualy like the skills that you posted for LB's on CB's to. Maybe TW and INT might not be needed to much, because a CB in terms of Teamwork doesn't really makes sence to take effect, since it is a lonely position to be in. Usualy it's one on one situations, with exceptions. Inteligence might play a part on it to tho, just don't know if so much so as in the LB position.

The rest of the skills I think are usefull for both postitions, hence me using them to judge both CB's and LB's equally on that exercise. Even rating my SF I would apply the same skills.

But FWIW using Speed, Tackle and Vision, Rates my top two CB's at 43.3 & 46.3. Interesting enough my #1 scores less then my #2 and that's not because he is more well rounded then the #2. The reason why this happens is because my #1 CB has much more Strength then the #2, which I also happen to think a CB needs it to complete tackles. So he scores higher on the first rating scheme, so like I posted it goes from owner to owner, one prefers to rate only 3 or 4 skills others like me think there is more to it... Nice to have variety.

This is a nice tool, thanks for sharing canonico! But isn't getting i.e. the CB rating with 50 strength as a base kind of misleading? Personally I think having 35 for strength is plenty enough for a CB, so once he reaches that it should be 35/35 so 100% and not 35/50 at 70% which pulls down the overall rating. And that's just off the top of my head for CB.

I guess it depends on the manager how he makes the calculations...

Yep, and I prefer to go with 50 because it is the max a player can get in any of the skills mentioned. Will I take it so far, I have no idea and most likely not, but I like to base my numbers on that. But you said it well "It depends on the manager how he makes the calculations..."
