SF I dont know if you have sought out those managers who have produced great numbers in the passing game but I'd look for those managers who are doing what you would like your team to do philosophically.

I noticed a great improvement with my teams passing game and my personal isnt nearly as good as yours. I have a high #1 caliber QB and a draft WR i damn near sold from day one and who I still keep my hand on the TM button just in case i'm feeling bitter. My TEs are a joke. I dont designate ANY specific direction/length in terms of passing and that seems to work fine as i have no set pattern in terms of play creation. I think it confuses the defense just enough to open things up a bit. It doesnt seem that tactically you were all that different from me but with just much better players.

Just a quick note, medium and long passing don't work in 2.2.1 either - even against 5-3-3

so if you gentlemen dont use medium/long passing... what plays do you do on 3rd & 10 for example?

Whatever formation you would use for medium/long pass, but have normal "pass" in the playbook rule. Afaik the QB always tries to pass for a 1st down that way. I don't know if a 3rd&10 would be considered a medium pass in this case though.

Is there anyone with anything good to say about medium/long passing?

Yeah - my QB threw 2 INTs in my WC game on 1st and 10 since he was throwing the ball 11 yds. 1st down passes make me nervous!

But I think there is an exception to this - screens.

Also 1st Qtr 5:03 -

5:03 3 and 9 to go on own 46, Franjo Schwarz (OC) snaps the ball to Javier Comstock (QB), Javier Comstock (QB) selected Dewayne Whiteside (TE/L) as target, Maha Chutimant (DE/L) breaks through the line, Divij Chande (FB/R) blocks, the pass goes inner left to the receiver, who catches the ball, Dewayne Whiteside (TE/L) sees no OLBs, finally he gets tackled by Soo Yongchaiyudh (FS/R), forward progress: 2 yards (Shotgun 2 WR vs. Dime 4DL MLB 4CB 2SF)

Wonder if it is related to the DE "breaking Through"?
