the away game was not known until after I was already in debt,...

I was told I had 3 weeks,...on the 7th,... now it is the 21st (2 weeks later) and told that 2 weeks is now 3 weeks,..(lol or something like that)

It was misleading,...and not very clear what was about to happen,..and when it was gonna happen,...

And When I first went into debt It was 4.5 million,...so yes this would have stopped my problem if it were changed to 5 million,...

The manual says that you have three finance warnings in the economic updates. If I understand you correctly, #1 was the 10th. #2 was the 14th. #3 was the 17th. That is also three "ingame" weeks. If that is indeed the case, I don't see how it is misleading. It even has a disclaimer saying that it is somewhat random which punishments are then doled out. It looks pretty clear to me.

If I am mistaken, then I will agree that it is misleading and should be edited. Otherwise, I see no issues. And I apologize for being wrong about the dollar amount, that's what I get for not rereading your other thread.

EDIT: I am not saying I agree necessarily with the punishment you had. I am just saying that it shouldn't be a huge surprise.

And all I am saying is that the Punishment should fit the Crime,...

I never once said I was not in the wrong,..I am saying that the punishment for 9 million dollars in debt should not be to take a player I deemed more valuable than that,...

It you extended the deadline, by 1 or 2 weeks ,... it would solve a lot of the problems,... this would allow you to have 2 or more Home League game (Profit games) and 2 or more cup games,... also profit games,...

If you are in debt more than this can handle,.. then you get the harsher penalty... but not 9 million,...and Poof,... we take your best player,..and don't compensate you for him,..and you remain in debt,...

this is not right,....

OK fair enough but when you first went into debt you said it was $4.5m and you didn't react by selling players to get yourself out of debt knowing that you had an away game. What is to say that you would react now?

You said somewhere that you are now about $9m in the red. You have approximately $12m coming in from the Supercup and league game on Tuesday. So that gives you less than $3m slack:-

plus sponsorship (max about $350k)
lets say you win both will add approx $400k
Maybe add shop income of no more than $250k

So now you have at the most $4m

Coaches are $2.2m
stadium is $520k
facility maintenance could be $388k
expert wages $202k

This leaves you at the most $800k for player salaries otherwise you lose another player.

Had the warning been $5m you wouldn't be reacting now but after Wednesdays update. You only have SC income and a friendly next week as you have another away game. I don't think the $5m would save you but compound your problem and make it harder for you to get out of trouble

I don't disagree that you got hosed and the situation sucks. I never said I thought that's what should happen to someone. But this thread is about changing the point of financial troubles. You had ample and clear warning and information regarding what would happen, you were unable to get out of debt in time. Imagine how much worse it would be if you didn't get that warning until the next time when you were further in debt.

Again, I don't disagree that you got hosed worse than you probably should have. But, that's the point of bankruptcy! Just be glad there isn't an IRS (Internal Revenue Service, for the non-US members) in this game like in life, then it would be so much worse

No IRS or bank of any kind would foreclose on a company that would prove to make 24 million over the next 2 weeks,... over a 9 million dollar debt.

this is the total point,...

But in the real world that cash would not be guaranteed. On top of that you are spending millions a week also. 2 weeks is 4 financial updates which is nearly $10m on coaches salaries alone. That gives you $5m to cover all other costs.

Just for a bit of trivia for you 90% of companies that go into administration go under with a full order book.
