A surprising batch of results this weekend....well done if you got anywhere near double figures in the Pigskin Pick Em competition! Im sure some lucky gimp somewhere did.....but anyone having a £1 accumulator on Minnesota, Jacksonville, St Louis and Tampa Bay this weekend will be much much richer for it!
These results almost lead me to a 'whats the biggest shock result in NFL history type question.....then a 'whos the worst team in NFL history' question....but as i perused the league tables, so many teams seem to be floundering and really not living up to expectations. I would argue indeed that there remain question marks over all teams - including the leading lights - maybe Seattle stand alone at the moment....or at least out in front. But so many teams 'could really do with' X Y or Z right now to either give them a much needed lift/boost...or plug a gaping hole that other teams cant fail to notice. So this weeks question is..... If you could reach back into the past and pluck any ONE player from your own team history, and uniform him up for the remainder of the season, in your belief they could really push your team on for that playoff spot, who would it be and why? For me, and the Redskins, it would have to be #28 - Darrell Green. Our secondary is shocking and to me DG is the best CB to ever have played the game. Great on Special Team also - he would instantly improve our D no end, close down oppositions #1 WRs and allow us to key on the rest. Brett Favre for the Packers? Jerry Rice for the Niners? Emmitt Smith for the Cowtwats? Donovan McNabb for the Dirty Birds? Just the one mind....just the one. |

A key member of the Eagles D from the time I began following the game, to act as a mentor for the impressive young Mychal Kendricks, it has to be Seth Joyner.
One hell of an athlete! |

The Texans are descendants to the Oilers... and given that our offense is our troubles... I'd have to bring back good ole Warren Moon. But in order for it to be proper... we'd have to go back to being the Oilers in the baby blue.. and ditch this Houston 'Texans' wanna be cowboys nonsense...

Brian Dawkins for me, such a great defensive player.

Jonathan Ogden. Without doubt. Nevermind from history, I think we'd happily welcome him back as he is now!

Given the Dolphins well documented troubles you could make a case for anyone who ever played OL or RB for them would get a game in their current condition.
