It is just a year we Seahawks fans did not see very often...Therefore we thinkwe have the opportunity, we have a team, we have a valid tactic on the field, so why not? Many people said you wont win vs SF, check the game...and there were more this season.
It is just a feeling, and I cannot proof it... |

well several chapters are near completion- "Pop and Ol' Jim" (about Glenn 'Pop' Warner and Jim Thorpe and the Carlisle football program. Also "Wa l t e r Camp and the Birth of the game". I'm sure you know all about Wa l t e r Camp. Also "Fritz Pollard and the Ohio League" is almost done. Obviously I have a long way to go LOL. Mostly focused on the early days, but outline for entire work is pretty much complete. I've done tons of research over the years.

quite simply, football fans. i have chapters on basic concepts as well...offense, defense, special teams, styles and trends that have come and gone, the first use of reverse-direction plays, the first use of the 'shotgun' by Tom Landry, etc. I don't know where it will end up, could be multi-volume, but it's a labor of love with no hard deadline. hard work but fascinating.
btw- i'm sorry if comments i've made in the past imply dissatisfaction with this game- "need more colors" etc- I think this is a truly great game and I enjoy it very much. It is absolutely the best game of its kind that I have encountered. Last edited on 2014-01-08 21:05:39 by JohnnyAce |

yes grew up a cowboys fan- my Dad was a journalist for Dallas Times Herald, had access to the locker room, etc. My loyalties to the Cowboys ended when Jimmy Johnson left and Jerry Jones took over the team, became a Saints fan after that. Sorry if I seem testy on the subject, but nobody seems to have a convincing argument for why Seattle will win this game. They have a great Defense and they are at home and they have a good running game. The Saints have a great offense, great defense and they won against the league's #1 rushing game last week (on the road). My convincing reason as to why the Seahawks will win on Sunday. 1, They will score more points 2, Points win games I'd be interested in knowing more about your book also. |

and lack of points loses games we're really getting down to the essence of this match-up Arizona beat Seattle in Seattle by containing the run game. I didn't see that game, only the highlights and perused the stats a bit and Wilson was quite inefficient- 15% 3rd downs!...Seattle went 2-2 at the end of the season, including the loss at home. i think the Saints are comin' -ball security is key Last edited on 2014-01-09 04:06:58 by JohnnyAce |

dont worry about suggestions made, mate...we like to receive critics, as long as they have the goal to make a change for the better...
Are the chapters of your book available for having a "test" read? |

If I had to decide which team I prefer then I'd have to pick the Hawks because I like the atmosphere the fans generate at home games. |
