I play against the NC South and AC South this season, with Bengals and Griffins thrown in.

4 of 19 players retiring, the quality of losses could be the biggest I've ever had. Losing my good OT after the other starting OT retired last year. Losing my 2 superstar OLB's as well as my starting SS. 3 Coaches retiring at 60.

Supercup has everyone's favorite 2.X team, the Besaid Aurochs, as my only competition. If last year's Friendly Cup matchup was any indication, this could be a close defensive struggle. 4 other newer teams are in the group as well.

Agree about the NC West. They look like a powerhouse division now that the Jacks are there. Who survive that division?

It's now or never for me, as key players are retiring. I expect to make the playoffs one more time, and the goal this season is to win the bowl. Nothing less.

Would just like to avoid relegation but I think that's easier said than done. Only had 1 retire and the kicker at that, but 30 did seem early.

i feel your pain Ombi! i'm losing my #1 OT for the 3rd season in a row 2 at age 30 and 1 at 31 only a back up safety with him this time, i expected it to be worse overall but the OL has been butchered in recent seasons

I want/need SC Playoffs and (hopefully) win my division again.

No mean feat, but not impossible.

I'll have fun trying to replace some talent this year 4 player retiring on me and 3 are only 30years old.

losing
star NT Sebastian Peek
OLB park dul
3rd string NT Broderick Kimble
backup Lyman Barry

I figure i would lose on of my NT but not both in the same year. It change some of my plans in my YA

I had four of my best players hit 30 this season luckily only one is retiring only two 29 year olds on the roster though one of those a back up.

Hopefully High Fives will continue his resurgence this season and with three of my first four games against my divisional rivals it's a good chance for one or more of them to make a statement of intent.

Another Admirals 1.1 team in my SC group in the form of Turpiales de Caracas so it should be a two horse race

On one hand , quite easy SC group.
On the other hand, very very hard league schedule.

Of course I hope to avoid relegation...

3 players retiring at the age of 30
2 coaches retired

What a great way to open season 13.

My goal is to avoid a relegation match. Going to work to finish at a rank between 22-24. I should win my Supercup division but will most likely loose in the second round for the third year in a row.

Lost 1 starter to retirement - my top WR. Looks like I will loose 4 players next season. Only 1 starter on Dline... other 3 are back ups. Will definitely be a challenging year... I am going to work on tatics this season and find better combinations to help move my team forward.

Divisional Predictions

(in before Wadders gets more splinters in his ass by sitting on the fence as usual...)

AC EAST

The loss of Sinna Ladd Tromso gives this Division and in reality the Conference as a whole a new dimension. Alphaville must surely now have lost his visual excitement at the retirement of TombKing and is now focused and favourite to assume the role of Division Champions. He wont have it all his own way - perennial underachievers the Bengals Udine and Constanta Ravens must surely soon resurrect past glories and give him some competition for the title. New boys Turpiales are an unknown quantity but could well be flushed back down the toilet into 2.x

Prediction : Alphaville to take the Division fairly comfortably

AC NORTH

It will probably be this time next season when my adversary Wadders harbours real hopes of Bowl glory...but he remains the most likely team to push Sanco to the Conference Championship and should hold off his Divisional rivals for a nice playoff seeding. Stigi and his High Fives will again be chasing hard and looking to restore his own past successes but seems to be in the Sharks shadow, whilst Fummer wont roll over easy but still seems short of playoff quality. The Holon Griffins will be hoping to stay up but again wont find it easy.

Prediction : Shard End take the Division and could well again be #1 seed for the PostSeason.

AC SOUTH

The Derbyshire Electric will be looking to once again hold off Phalanx but have a rough schedule to deal with, especially in the second half of the season. Phalanx had a rough start to last season and may still be going through a transitional phase, whilst the Knights started off very well, but finished a little sketchy. They should still have enough to be comfortable, but can they close the gap on the Electric and Phalanx. The Lords Angels may well be looking at the draft board early as they could find wins hard to come by

Prediction : Electric hold on to the Division but its the usual bumpy ride

AC WEST

My idea of the League powerhouse Division. Free Agent Mascots remain the standard bearers but there were some distinct cracks forming at the end of Season 12 which will give many teams some hope. The first few games of the season may well indicate whether this was a blip or a sign of things to come for Sanco - waiting to take full advantage will be Ombi and MikeMike, who will also be looking forward to this time next season, but could harbour hopes of knocking the FAM off top spot. The Ducks remain a little inconsistent whilst the Mad Dogs are a top notch team whatever Ombi's protestations are. Lets not either forget The Wretched, who in any other Division would be a serious threat. It would be no surprise to see three from 4 qualifying for the playoffs here.

Prediction : Mascots retain, but continue to come back to the pack.

AC CONFERENCE PLAYOFF SEEDINGS PREDICTION:

#1 Shard End Sharks
#2 Free Agent Mascots
#3 Alphaville
#4 Derbyshire Electric
#5 Morgantown Mad Dogs
#6 Chester Ducks

NC EAST

All eyes will be on the Defending Champions Motol Ducks - can Mr Pumpkin continue to ride this tsunami of a wave to another title? He will need to navigate a rough Division first with not BOT option this time - Vamosahi could be the best team to be promoted this season and there remain the substantial forces of the enigmatic Galrauch Raiders and past champion Lucentum Dragons. Divisional matchups will be key here in getting to the end of season shenanigans. Hard to pick a winner here.....

Prediction : Galrauch Raiders to clip the Ducks wings and take the title

NC NORTH

WV Bobcats look to again have the Division to themselves, although the Wolves and Ghosts will hope to bridge the gap somewhat. New boys Rhinos Milano will be hopeful they can keep their horns above water and win a few Divisional games which could be pivotal. But it seems very likely that its another gentle trot to the Playoffs for the BobCats.

Prediction : WV Bobcats to romp it - again.

NC SOUTH

Strange to not see the Full Floters here - but its good news for the NAVY boys who will fancy their chances of becoming the dominant team in this division. Spuds Spartans continue to flatter to deceive - much like the Bengals and Ravens, they should be much stronger but appear to be stagnant or struggling to progress. The Badgers will be looking to make a few strides forward but getting 6 wins will be their priority, whilst the Little Men will do well to keep their heads above water.

Prediction : NAVY win the Division but Spartans to show signs of life

NC WEST

An interesting Division this - last season the Green Mark Packers surprised most by not just snatching the Division from the previously dominant Firebirds, but also eliminating them in the Wildcard game. Can they do it again? Ranagol wont be impressed with this and may be looking to exact revenge on the GMP - but thats not to suggest this is a 2 horse race. The Misfits can beat anyone on their day - they just need a few more days - whilst the Jacks are a 1.1 outfit and could well spring straight into the playoff mix. In a few seasons this could be a true powerhouse Division.

Prediction : Firebirds to rise again and right the wrongs of S12

NC CONFERENCE PLAYOFF SEEDINGS PREDICTION :

#1 WV Bobcats
#2 Phoenix Firebirds
#3 NAVY
#4 Galrauch Raiders
#5 Motol Ducks
#6 Lucentum Dragons
