We are once again playing the Leopards. So far our track record has been horrible vs the Leopards.
Historically we have 4 wins vs 12 losses. Last time the Leopards were in 1.1 (2 years ago), we split the games with the away team winning both games! We hope to put up a respectable showing so we can hold our heads high as we ride off into the off-season. Good luck to everyone who is still in the playoffs. |

Cheap Seat Chuggers vs. Paxtang Black Panthers I was hoping for a switch in the #3 and #4 spot, to avoid this situation. Two division rival will face off again in the playoffs. Panthers are the favorite with a sweep of the regular season games. An upset is unlikley. Panthers win.
Louisville Left Sharks vs. Berinsfield Hornets Another division rematch. Here there series was spliz during the season, with the last win by the Hornets just a gameday away with a very clear result. Berinsfield are the favorit here, the Sharks are normall no match for them. I doubt an upset here, too. Hornets win.
Newhouse Eagles vs. Grand River Snakes The only real x-faxtor of last weekend did end as expected from me. The Eagles did slip into the playoffs and will face the Snakes. This is the only open game of the day, with both teams able to win this. Snakes won a game against the Eagles this season, Eagles won last season. My pick is, the Snakes will advance. They had some great games this season and they might have enough luck and skills to win this.
Overall almost as expected by me. I did see the Eagles - Snakes match a bit closer (which it was until start of the 4th quarter) but this is not unusual with the game engine. So now do come the divisional Playoffs and to be honest, those matchups do look great from a spectators perspective. 2016-06-18 17:00 Divisional Playoff Berinsfield Hornets vs. Panteras Assassinas The Hornets are the favorite to win this, in Beckos and in Petes Rankings. It doesn't help that they did put a sixty-burger on the Assassinas during the season. But that was the only loss of the Assassinas during the season, while the Hornets did lose twice (Sharks and Leopards). With facing an away game, don't pick the Hornets to win this. I think Assassinas will win in a Close game here. Why? I can't put it on a single fact, I just think that this loss during the season had other reasons than dominance and both Teams are in the same league. Playing at home does also Count and te Rankings do work with the results and it's hard to rise above another Team if that does win almost equally during the season. So, gut Feeling ... Assassinas win. Blood Kings vs. Leverkusen Leopards My Team is not afraid of the competition, but I would have liked the Snakes as Opponent a bit more. Even Ham does see himself as Underdog, the Kings are not to be underestimated. Given my season record it's clear the Leopards are the favorites, but this can go any way. From a Close win by the Kings to a big win of the Leopards. Still, I won't pick against my Team, so Leopards win. Grand River Snakes vs. Torchwood Aliens This is the most clear matchup of the gameday, at least in my book. The Snakes did win their first Division title in the 1.1 and are now facing one of the top Teams of the Region. They lost during the season on a 50 something game and honestly I do see them only winning this game if the Aliens getting homesick and leaving the planet. Aliens win. Paxtang Black Panthers vs. Down Under Devils This is the only game where Beckos and Petes Rankings do see things different. beckos has the Devils up front by 15, giving the home field Advantage and a better Rating Overall, while Petes Rankings do see the Panthers a bit higher ranked, with a game prediction undecided, to Close to see a clear favorite. They did meet during the season and the Devils won at home by 14 Points in a low scoring game. Devils lost only once during the season (Aliens) while the Panthers lost twice (Devils and Pioneers). This will be Close and I will not pick against the home Team here. But this is not final, everyone can win here. Still ... Devils win. Given those results I see as Conference Finals Matchup: Torchwood Aliens vs. Leverkusen Leopards Panteras Assassinas vs. Down Under Devils That would be both #2 vs #1. We will see. |

Have to agree, I don't think I will win this. the season win was a fluke and I'm positive the assassinas played a weak team, either by design or just a mistake. the 2 loses for myself we against the impressive leopards and also a freaky interception riddle game against the sharks. I will try my best but I'm still lacking that offensive power needed to defeat the best teams in the league |

I am going to make it interesting for you as I have a new playbook for offense and defense to throw at you for our game. Hopefully, the change-up will keep the game close and/or give me a shot to pull a victory. OR The changes will cause me to lose by 100 points.

We've made a few changes since the last meeting with the Aliens, so I'm hoping for a closer game than that 51-13 blowout. But yes, I'm sure we'll be looking for the Retcon around 18:00 on Saturday.

Don't worry, there will be other seasons to come and the top teams don't have much room to improve, but all others can get closer and can even get better.

I think the game will be closer than last time. I'm looking at a few changes - just to avoid predictability. Let's hope that the changes don't upset the apple cart too much. |

Well, our game finished pretty much as I expected. I spotted a few holes in my playbook, so I've patched those (I hope). Now off to study the Draft.
