I looked at your game against the Taints - its all there.
Im entitled to my opinion and allowed to express it - that's what forums are for and I don't give a monkeys ass what you think. I think you mock the game and have the audacity to slag others off for what you do so very blatantly - in my opinion. If you or others don't like it - meh. Don't reply/reply...I don't care. But in my opinion you are all that's bad about the game. |

my comments are my thoughts to all - as said, that is what a forum is for. You are choosing to play this game as you see fit - that's your prerogative - but when managers choose to play it as you are doing (and you can dress a pig up any way you like - its still a pig), you are leaving yourself wide open to comment, criticism and anything else.
Ive had my battles with Rock also - suspect we will never see eye to eye on things - but I respect the guy. He is opinionated and brash....but he bases his arguments on facts and stands by his opinions. I respect that. And he plays the game 'right'. I definitely respect that. You don't...so please be assured that any requests or suggestions you have will be treated by myself with the same contempt and disregard as you show to the game that many of us care about and look to do our best in, with consideration to other managers and everything that others put into it. I have said nothing about you personally, and that wont happen. But I don't have to like how you play this game, as I happen to think its pretty disgusting. If that's disrespecting you, so be it - but I doubt you will change your approach to it. Just as I will not change my thoughts or voice them. If no one cares to listen - meh. Oh, and my bad. Youre right, you didn't play 100% 5-3-3. Just 57% of your defensive plays were 5-3-3 across the game. That's you trying really hard to do your best and be as competitive as possible right? Against a team that, with all due respect to them, you possibly had a real chance of winning - or at least competing. 0-82. Many BOTS would have done better than that. But that's ok isn't it, for a 1.1 team............ |

To be fair, the Potatoes are a relatively young, newly promoted team with a pretty low overall team rating (especially on offense). The Taints ran the ball for 61% of the plays, so its not really weird for the Potatoes to call 5-3-3 57% of the time. A lot of established teams set run and pass defensive orders on the same line in their playbook, so they are vulnerable to offensive playbooks like this. I don't think Stanford87 threw the game. He just got manhandled by a cleverly constructed offense. Its understandable in this age of rampant tanking, but I think you may have jumped the gun a bit in this case.

Its understandable in this age of rampant tanking, but I think you may have jumped the gun a bit in this case. a possibility, but when you consider, what, 3 of the last 4 seasons 'performances' (it may be 2 of 3, just CBA to check), alongside the fact that there seems to be no 'fight' or effort at all in results, if not games, so far this season (and he may still be 0-5, but scores should not be anywhere near that bad), then mud sticks. To me, its absolutely apparent that he's tanking without actually being so blatant as in the past about it, in securing that #1 pick. Other teams go down, but at least try - it shows respect for the game and other teams/managers who may well be affected by these BOT type scorelines, one way or another. |

 I'm fairly confident that the Potatoes didn't tank against me. He just had an unfortunate placement in my schedule. I want a better record than I had last season and these results aren't good enough. |

I purposely attempted to outscore every other team he faced. He plays some common opponents of mine and I wanted to best them. 
I'm also happy that this game got this reaction out of you. It probably doesn't mean much to anyone else, but it amuses the hell out of me. |

I don't mean any disrespect to you or your team pal. And yes, it may well be that you simply destroyed him and got the scoreline that you deserved in the matchup. There have sure been other examples in past seasons where a team has been battered by another - but these are very much more isolated than EVERY week.
This guy blatantly tanks more often than not. Which I detest. And I just happen to feel he is doing it now also - but just not as blatantly as in the past, because now there are penalties for doing so. And its just not fair, because with some effort and application, he may still be 0-5, but those scorelines may and should be much closer than they have been - and who knows how that affects positions come the playoffs? Currently he is not much more than a BOT game. BOTS we can do nothing about. Managed teams should have more about them than this. Ive said my piece. Anyway, what would a season be without me getting involved with a fellow manager!!!  |
