There is a very high probability that the entire AC North will be replaced next season...

Lucky it wasn't me playing CB. He'd have dragged me 98 yards for a TD.

Mascots have the worst odds of escaping the conference, but I still think they are the favorite to go up.

Wildcats on the other hand are likely to be the team with the highest PD that doesn't make the playoffs

RANK YOUR DRAFT

Wildcats: B

Wasn't high enough in the draft order to get one of the studs for my first pick, but I did get a solid OL/TE prospect with decent TMW and the Pass Blocker skill. 3.5 EXP at 20 years old is very respectable. If he caps at 48 STR but ends up with some speed, he has enough intelligence to make a decent TE.

Second pick was a bad die roll. Another 20 year old with 3.5 EXP, and a nice high 47.8 Intelligence with high TMW to boot. But his speed is red capped at 42.7 and is strength is already yellow. Poor physicals landed this guy on the TM day 1.

Von Speed is still a question mark, but a solid pick for #3. Both his speed and strength are yellow capped. With some luck he could end up 50/43 on his physicals. Paired with decent intelligence (41.3) he could make a decent WR/CB prospect

Dalton Matthew ended up capping at 50 STR and 39 SPD. TE is out, but he'll make a solid OL.

Von Speed ended up coming up short on speed so he got the boot.

One solid 20 yo OL. I'd still call it a B.

Draft: B

#1 Pick in first round - LB Thomassoo. I was a bit surprised that neither of the other human coaches picked him up first, although my #2 choice was taken in the top 5. High physicals (48/47) are capped, but I'm perfectly fine with that. Max Intel, and he is only 20. Certainly a future star at MLB, maybe OLB. I spent three straight drafts getting a stub DE in the 1st round, this is the second year in a row I've gotten a great LB that I'll need to contribute in a couple seasons. So the defense continues to be the focus.

#2 pick in the 2nd round - OL Mendes. I had an almost identical OL taken one pick before I drafted, but it looks like I got the worst of the two. With both of them at 47 Strength, I was hoping to get +1 or +2 strength before the cap. My draft pick is capped, but still worth keeping at this point. Still better than my older OL that only have 45 and 46 strength that I got in the early years of building this team. He's only 20 with good TW. Can always use an OL.

#2 pick in 3rd round - DL Breukers. Was hoping to find a young player with uncapped physicals to build up, had 9 such players on my list for the 3rd round to sort through. Guess I picked wrong. Both physicals are capped at 42, already on the transfer market.

Doing midseason evaluations from the draft? Sure, why not?

My 1st round LB Brondon Thomassoo is a keeper, but he won't play this year or next. He is a future star though with high physicals and 50 intel.

2nd rounder Zahor Mendes is still a point lower on strength than I'd normally keep, but I'm holding onto him. I need to stockpile some OL for the future, and he's not bad.

So two 20 year olds I'm happy with. My original grade of a B is about right, maybe a B+.

Well, another chapter is in the books in my long rivalry with the Adventurers, and another loss. I haven't beaten him since we were both in the same division in 2.1 back in season 22. A clear win for you, I was outclassed in both this game and our Friendly Cup this season.

DRAFT REVIEW: A-

1st round: LB. 3rd ranked player at 16th overall. STR 49.8 and SPD 43.4 both red capped but 50 INT. I like my LBs to have 45+ SPD so not sure on him (had hoped SPD would be yellow), may move him up to the DL.

2nd round: CB. 12th ranked player at 48th overall. 31.6 STR uncapped and 49.3 SPD red, decent INT and TW plus 3.5*EXP and 5*TALENT plus Long Reach trait, all at age 21. Nice find.

3rd round: CB/S. 22nd overall player at 70th overall. STR 25.5 has a ways to go, 50 SPD, Ball Stripper trait.

After last year's disaster (gambled on three bums, all immediately sold on TM, worst draft by some distance) I changed priorities and landed three really solid players. Gave the draft a minus because a lot will depend on where STR caps on the 2nd and 3rd rounders, and grade could obviously then go lower.

Will get my usual opening day loss to the Electric out of the way tonight, then get on with the season proper.

Still have Knight at LB for some reason, his SPD is already slower than most of my DL (all bar two) never mind my LB, and his skills are behind what I have. Will still keep him around until I find something better.

Ashcraft and Champion will spend the next 2-3 seasons as depth, really need to build up their STR and AGI before they see the field outside of friendlies and bot-games. Maybe give it a B+ or B now, A- seems high.

Oh, and obviously drained the Electric of their juice on opening day.

Pick 1 - A-
Pick 2 - B
Pick 3 - F

Overall - B-

So long as I picked up a couple of decent prospects I'm happy. Would have been nice to get the third one as well but you can't win them all.

Going to change the gradings a bit ...

Pick 1 - A Physicals are going to be fantastic and great teamwork helps
Pick 2 - A As above
Pick 3 - C Sold for 725,000 and personally I wouldn't have offered 7250

Overall - B+ One of the better ones I've had.

Bracciano Lakers: E

Awful pick at first round. I cannot understand how the player entered my top 30 list ... Perhaps I mis-dragged him somehow without being aware of the move. A RB with talent and skills, but capped al low 40s both in STR and SP. Young with high TW. Nothing I can build anything on. For now I consider to keep him as a backup, nothing more.

The best draft pick: A DL with 50 STR, excellent INT and 30ish skills. Unfortunately he is already 23 so he has limited growth in perspective.

Third round as 27th... I didn't expect any gift. A 23 yo RB workhorse. Uncapped STR, but too old for any interesting evolution as Lineman. I'm ready to fire him almost immediately.

This draft was the worst of my RZA career so far.
Luckily I was not in need, otherwise I would begin to panic.

"E" Confirmed ... no surprise and nothing to add
