Since pete just stated that he can't/won't add an option for 2nd String, adding game-ending injuries should not be done for now.

+1

Although I am in favour of such injuries I don't believe it would be reasonable without the option for 2nd, 3rd string.

If you look at the injury report on any given Sunday, it has 3-5 players out per team (plus some questionables & probables). RZA isn't even close to that. Teams should be encouraged to build depth,, rather than simply loading up their starters with tons of skills.

I don't know if you have to have season/career ending injuries. But teams should have to couple if some amount of adversity.

Coaches in real life can adjust their depth chart during the game. We need more options in RZA before injuries are added.

Take QBs for example, a real team will only play its #1 and if he gets hurt only the #2 and if he gets hurt only #3. We have no option to do that in RZA.

In real life a coach can also a l t e r the rotation. If you rotate 3 DEs for example and one gets hurt you want your 4th DE to rotate in with the remaining 2 starters. We can't do that in RZA.

Let's give it a try in super cup only for instance. Just to check how it would feel like.

No, let's not give it a try unless we are given the options to change things mid-game based on injuries.

Giving it a try now is like asking a surgeon to operate without first giving him the tools to do it, nobody should want that.

The poll is done.

- - -

Some ideas on injury occurence.

Maybe on top of RNG, game-ending injuries could also correlate to, e.g.:

A) How someone coaches their players. For instance, coaching Speed 90% all season long and playing couple of games could cause serious health issues.

B) On coaches Karma. Running same plays over and over again raises probability of getting hurt.

C) Not giving your players time and possbility to rest by use of facility).

D) ...

Meaning, by acting proactive managers can lower occurence of game-ending injuries.

Agreed to some degree. But we could have more long-term injuries (managers could adjust their depth charts accordingly) and not necessarily more in-game injuries.

Well, the poll was about "game-ending injuries" so by definition they would have to happen during games which is exactly what my problem is. If we're going to add more training injuries that's fine as we can readjust the depth chart before kickoff.
