Xu Da's kicker Shen Chhia in today's game scored a field goal of 60 yards
I believe record is 61 so that is an unbelievable kick!

Meanwhile Wolverines LB Isaac Merino had 6 (!!) interceptions today in an upset victory against Bulldogs!

Still a bit early to predict who will fully be in the playoffs, but with 5 games to go in the season, let's try and see where we stand:

AC East - 3 team race. Wolflings are on top with a 2 game lead. Will still take a couple of wins to secure the division. Moustache Men and Comanches need some losses from the Wolflings in order to win the division, and with each team playing the Wolflings, this will be a good division to watch. My pick, Wolflings

AC North - 2 team race. Centurions and Eskimos are 1 game apart, and they both play essentially the same league schedule the rest of the season. This may come down to the final game of the season when they play each other in the final game. My pick, Centurions

AC South - 3 team race, but essentially a 2 team race for the Division win. Xu Da plays both of the top 2 teams in their easier schedule, Thunder Bolts have the easiest schedule the remaining way, and Wild Thangs have a very tough schedule. My pick, Thunder Bolts

AC West - 2 team race. Deflators have a 2 game lead over the Bulldogs. Both teams have similar strength to their schedules the rest of the way, and I don't think the Bulldogs can make up that 2 games. My pick, Deflators

AC WildCard - Who will the 2 wildcard teams be? Kalapana Wild Thangs do have that tough schedule, but they hold on for 1 spot. 5 other teams will be fighting for that last spot, and this is my prediction of order they will finish for that last spot....Xu Da, Eskimos, Moustache Men, Bulldogs, Comanches.

NC East - 3 team race with 5 games to go. Will any of the teams pull apart from the rest. There will not be a wildcard team from this division, so only 1 moves forward. The Renegades and Pinoys play 2 inter-division games, and whoever wins those games may end up as the division winner. My pick, Valiant Pinoys

NC North - Essentially a 2 team race, but the RC Frogs still have a long shot. Their magic number is 2 to be eliminated from contention, so very very slim chance. Both the Alligators and Dumplings have some tough games upcoming, as well as against each other. I think whoever wins that game will win the division, or it will come down to PD to determine the winner. My pick, Dumplings

NC South - 3 team race. Patriots and Mantis play each other 2 games. Looks like Narann has the tougher schedule, and Mantis may have the easier schedule, but those two games between the Patriots and Mantis could determine both of their fates. My pick, Mantis

NC West - 2 team race. Both the Destroyers and Bridges have tough upcoming schedules, but I think the Bridges may have the toughest schedule remaining in all of Thunder. My pick, Destroyers.

NC WildCard - Essentially this is a 2 team race for the last 2 spots, but a few other teams could play spoiler if the cards fall the right way. My pick, Alligators and Bridges take those last 2 spots if they don't win their division.

Dumplings Weekly Review 14th July

My big game prediction was Bridges @ Destroyers and although the home team were held scoreless through to half time (6:0) the Destroyers exploded into life in the 2nd half scoring 35 points and winning 16:35. A first loss of the season for the Bridges and the Destroyers now go top of the NC West.

So now no undefeated teams but we have 6 who sit at 10-1

BIG GAME match to watch:
Bridges @ Alligators - Both teams are 10-1 and second in their divisions and need to win to keep up the heat on their division leaders

WTF another 3 injuries. I don't f****** believe it. This time includes my #1 QB but luckily his is a short one, but does include my senior OL for 2 weeks.

Never ever had a season where injuries keep popping up nearly every other training season, so I'm now laying odds that I get another couple of injuries if not next Wednesday on a week on Sunday.... 20 plus injuries in a season is that fair??????? I am now on 13 it is starting to get close only having over 60 players in the squad is probably helping I would pity anyone who has 55 or less and got this many injuries in a season.

Do you pay for a physiotherapist? It would be interesting to know whether that might correlate to the number of injuries you have?
