As I consider our teams playing on the same level, the odds for a loss against you increase each time we meet

Good luck to the Bobbers as well. in our regular season match they gave me the kind of beating I would like to avoid next Saturday, indeed

Power Rankings, week 17 (last of the season, unless I do one after the playoffs). Warning: there will be big jumps due to who made the playoffs and who didn't. I will explain for each team, so just bear with me.

1. Comeback Kids, 14-2, - - . Earning the #1 seed in the AC and having the best record in the league has them at the top spot, despite the narrow 1-point loss to AS Roma.

2. Social Distance Runners, 13-3, +6. Buzi is not going to agree with me on this, but not only has his team proven that he can hang with and beat the best, his team earned the 1 seed in the NC. That's worthy of this high ranking (highest of the season for the Runners).

3. Helsinki Gangsters, 13-3, - - . The 2-seeded Gangsters seek to secure their second Elite Bowl (looks more likely with WW going somewhat dormant in the past couple of weeks (hopefully they don't go bot)). They will have to fight through the Kids, but I would take Helsinki over the Kids.

4. Salt City Pirates, 12-4, +2. A high PD allows the Pirates to take the 2 seed in the NC. I think it's either going to be Salt City or the Runners representing the NC in the Bowl.

5. Wilmersdorf Wadenbeisser, 12-4, -3. WW sits in a precarious position, not having logged in since the 17th of July. Hopefully they log on and right this ship.

6. San Diego Blitz, 12-4, -2. Puzzling loss to the Elephants puts a question mark on this team entering the playoffs.

7. Istanbul Whitings, 12-4, -2. Move down to the 4 seed after the narrow loss to Juggernaut. I think they will be able to make it to at least the divisional round. This is my team to watch heading into the playoffs, as they have put together an impressive Elite debut.

8. Chelt Nam Bobbers, 10-6, +2. I don't see them making it out of the wildcard round. Even with home field advantage, the Bobbers have not proven on a consistent basis they can hang with teams like Baltimore.

9. Baltimore Ravens, 12-4, -2. They may have to play from the wildcard spot, but they will not be an easy out. Don't be surprised to see them in the conference championship game.

10. The Masked Ducks, 11-5, -1. This team will be another tough out playing from the wildcard spot. I doubt they beat the Blitz but I also wouldn't be very surprised if they did.

11. AS Roma Wolves, 10-6, +1. I think the AC wildcard teams are a little bit weaker than the NC. The Wolves are good but I doubt they can beat Istanbul.

12. Lyon Eagles, 9-7, +1. Normally I would say there's no chance Lyon beats WW, but depending on whether or not WW logs on to prepare for this game they could pull out the surprise W.

13. PR Chaser, 9-7, +4. Narrowly miss the playoffs solely based on PD. Beat Lyon week 17, just not enough to overcome that PD gap.

14. Hell Hounds, 9-7, -3. The week 17 loss to Helsinki dashed this team's playoff hopes. If they had lost by a bigger margin, it would have ended the Hounds' stay in Elite.

15. BU Terriers, 10-6, -1. BU finishes the season a very respectable 10-6. This initial season in Elite has gone better for BU than originally anticipated. I'm sure their manager is not complaining.

16. BobBoy Magpies, 9-7, - - . Destroyed Green Mark in a last-ditch effort to stay up. Roma decided to pull the upset on the Kids, though, and sends the Magpies back to Admirals 1.

17. Bonnyrigg Bombsquad, 9-7, +2. Bonnyrigg has won 7 straight, and I would not have wanted to play them if they had made the playoffs. Lucky for the rest of the league, it ended up being too little too late.

18. Black Dragons, 8-8, -3. After a good start to the season, the Dragons stalled and finished with a modest 8-8 record.

19. Basterds, 8-8, -1. After last season's 6-10 outing, I bet Jetto is quite content with this season's 8-8 performance.

20. Erudite Linstock, 7-9, - - . For a while it seemed like Linstock was going to win the division, but a 6-game mid-season slump ended that possibility.

21. Wasteland Wolves, 6-10, +1. With a slightly better roster, I think the Wolves would have wreaked some serious havoc on the league. With an average age of under 25, the Wolves won 6 games and only lost by 4 to the Ducks in week 17.

22. Catalunya 1714, 6-10, -1. After a mid-season hot streak that had heads turning, Catalunya fell back down to earth to finish at 6-10.

23. Green Mark Packers, 6-10, - - . Stayed competitive to keep their AC West rivals close, but faltered and finished with a mediocre 6 wins.

24. Home Malones, 5-11, +1. They were good for a few major upsets over the course of the season, but will return to Monarchs 1 for a season or so.

25. Bradford Bulls, 5-11, -1. Another very young team putting up a fair record in Elite. With the average age of the Bulls being 23, I think Tyke is feeling pretty good about his team's Elite debut.

26. Dumbarajko Elephants, 5-11, - - . Surprised the league with an upset over San Diego. A few more wins like that, and Dumbarajko would have been contending to stay in Elite.

27. Boonley Bulldozers, 3-12, - - . Tough season for the Bulldozers, but this gives them a chance to reload the team and prepare it for another Elite run.

28. Green Bay Hackers, 3-12, - - . My players learned how to accept losses this season, as they came often and usually by large margins. We will take next season to continue to develop players and the playbook so by Season 41 we are ready to make some noise in Elite.

29. Juggernaut, 3-12, +2. Upset the Whitings to shake up AC seeding a little bit. This season comes to an end on a good note, but I bet these guys are ready for division 1 competition for a change.

30. BSoD, 3-12, -1. A season spent in the cellar for BSoD. They will look to return to winning next season.

31. Werewolves, 2-14, -1. With the worst human record in the league, the Werewolves are in need of a break from Elite competition. A return to division 1 will suffice.

I did the rankings by putting the 1 seeds in the top 2 spots, 2 seeds in the next two, and so on, finishing the top 12 by pooling the 4 wildcard teams together. Good luck to all playoff teams for the rest of the season, and for those that didn't make the playoffs, good season and hope to play you all again soon!

Good write-up and even without logging in, I'm sure WW will beat me on Tuesday, I'm used to losing to him though so that's all right

Good luck to the remaining PO teams

Thank you badgers. And no, I don't agree with the 1st spot in NC. But, somehow and with the help of luck and the Elephants in the last match my team ended up in this position. I am happy to sit out Tuesday. There still is Mondays SC playoff match that needs preparation and then the CoC playoff match on Friday plus the league playoffs on Saturday. Another busy week.

I will take the TOP 10 rank and the underdog status.

Once again, thank you Badgers for the rankings this season.

To be fair, if you were ranked dead last, you'd probably claim you're ranked too high

The side effect of losing 4 Bowl games and countless playoff games he should have won.

But this losing period seems to be over. Luck was even on his side in the CoC draw with BUT facing WW.

For fun, I looked at the record of each NC PO team against each other, SC, CoC and friendly cups included:

Runners: 5-3
Pirates: 2-2
SDB: 4-0
Bobbers: 1-3
Ravens: 2-3
Ducks: 2-5

SDB does not look good right now, but against the best teams of the conference, he is undefeated. He also defeated twice the Runners.

Steve and I both lost yesterday making this game the last one of the season for one of us. My moral has been hit a little bit less hard than Steve's one but he will have the home-field advantage. I do have a OL starter injured, but having a big depth on the position it should not be a factor. It believe it will be a fair game and hopefully the best team will win.

Can't wait to be at 7PM server time!

Until then good luck to the other 7 managers and especially to my Seadevils mate PJ and the other pround representant of France Meitheisman.
