Great write up yet again Dumplings! I knew I did not stand a chance, and you shut me down on 3rd downs. Very impressive for sure!

As for next week, the Mantis may be set in that praying position for too long against the Attack Dogs! They now are the leaders in our division, and I need to prove I can hang with them!

Dumplings big match reviews of 19th December:

Mantis 24:28 Attack Dogs - A fantastic game at the Mauling Pit of Terror. Blistering start by the Attack Dogs who stormed out to a 21pt lead but the Mantis didn't give up, fought back and in fact had a 4th and 12 on the Dogs 28yd line with just 31 seconds left in the game but couldn't convert.

Patriots 17:20 Narann - The NC South is the gift that just keeps on giving us great games. What a classic with Narann forcing overtime with a 45yd FG with 31 seconds left in the game and then winning it in overtime with a 27yd FG. Commiserations to the Patriots HB Reggie "Matt" LeBlanc who fumbled the ball on the first play of OT to set up the Narann win - will be a long bus journey home.

Following the Dumplings visit to Bulldozers this week I just want to remind all managers that you MUST get your stadium capacity up to 144k - Income generation needs to be be maxed to be able to afford the players wages you need to compete

Next weeks big games:
Eskimos @ Juggernaut - Top 2 in AC North square off
Wild Thangs @ Xu Da - Top 2 in in AC South square off
Narann @ Mantis - NC South playoff scrap

Yes, that Attack Dogs vs. Mantis game was quite a game. Had a few plays I just could not convert in that final minute of the game. Congrats Attack Dogs.....you have solidified yourself as a true contender!

Yes. Thanks, Dumpling for your fine review. Tpal you clearly would have won this matchup if you converted that last 4th down. You had too much momentum.

First, down 28-17 with 10:10 left in the fourth quarter, the guts you had to go for it on your own 13 on a 4th and 17....and convert!

And then again on your final drive, 2:33 left to play, down 28-24 with a 4th and 17 from your own 27, and you convert again!

Gheese, It seemed I was facing Bill Bellichek in his glory days, with Tom -G.O.A.T-, Bret Farve, Steve Young, and Aron Rodgers all rolled into one QB, with a blended Jerry Rice, Terell Owens, and Randy Moss as your receivers going against the 1999- 2019
Cleveland Browns defense.

Ill take the victory, and maybe I am starting to become a legit playoff team, but contender is a little ways off!

Dumplings big match reviews of 22nd December:

Eskimos 10:44 Juggernaut - This one wasn't even close with the Eskimos points coming in the 4th Qtr. Juggernaut now showing the form that makes them the AC #1 seed and a favourite to return to Elite

Wild Thangs 41:31 Xu Da - Wild Thangs took the lead first in this 72 point scoring festival and were always in control. Could it have been different if Xu Da didn't have the coaches thumbs down (71 passing attempts compared to 7 rushes), who knows? What we do know is that the Wild Thangs can thank RB Cleo "Patra" Messer for rushing 31 times for 171 yards and contributing to a win that keeps them as serious contenders in the AC.

Narann 21:42 Mantis - Narann conceded 20 1st Qtr points and never recovered in this NC South battle where the chance of making the playoffs seem to be receding. As for Mantis they are back winning again after 2 losses.

Next weeks big games:
Dumplings @ Wild Thangs - Only 1 loss between them
Mantis @ Frogs - NC Playoff scrap
Eskimos @ Bulldogs - AC playoff scrap

What a game Narann. Other than that 1st Quarter, the game was close throughout. We both had good yardage on plays as our defenses seem to have forgotten there was a game being played!

Dumplings big match reviews of 26th December:

Dumplings 21:24 Wild Thangs - A cracking game at The House of Pain where the Wild Thangs downed the Dumplings in Overtime. Despite having 60% of the possession, not allowing any sacks and throwing no interceptions the Dumplings fell to their first league loss of the season to a Wild Thangs team that played it's MOTY. This win means that the Wild Thangs go 9-1 which is also the same as every other AC division leader

Eskimos 20:16 Bulldogs - Although this game finished close the Eskimos scored first and were always in front. In this low scoring game there were more FG's than Touchdowns (5 to 3). For the Bulldogs they only converted 4 of 14 3rd Downs but 5 of 5 4th Downs and on reflection probably should have gone for another 4th Down when they had a 4th and 1 with only 5.27 left in the game instead go kicking a FG. As for the Eskimos this win keeps them as one of the favourites for a playoff place.

Mantis 17:29 Frogs - A 4th Qtr come from behind win by the Frogs where they scored the final 14 pts of the game and go to 6-4 which puts them back in playoff contention.

Congratulations to the Whitings who were the first team to win their division and secure a place in the playoffs and are also now the only unbeaten team in the league.

Next weeks big games:
Juggernaut @ Whitings - Best of the AC v Best of the NC - who comes out on top?
Wolverines @ Attack Dogs - Who is the top canine for these teams that both seem playoff bound?

You should have written "Upset of the Year" on that RC Frogs win over the Kokomo Mantis.

Just a demoralizing loss, but that is why they play the games.

They played me very tough and they also beat Inbhir Narann, so there's something underlying there about the Frogs. Clearly, like last seasons Valiant Pinoys you can throw ratings out the window.

Dumplings big match reviews of 29th December:

Juggernaut 55:0 Whitings - Well I didn't see this beat down coming.....The last unbeaten team in Thunder laid an egg at home... Juggernaut look like red hot championship favourites after this game. Intercepting the Whitings QB 4 times and recovering a fumble for a TD in this shut out...wow...what a performance.

Wolverines 16:19 Attack Dogs - A cracker of a game. Wolverines had their noses in front at the half but were restricted to just a FG in the second half by a well drilled Attack Dogs defence and ultimately fell short. Attack Dogs now favourite for the NC South divisional title.

11 games gone and 5 to go which means that teams now start thinking of playoff possibilities.....

Next weeks games with playoff impacts:
AC
Xu Da @ Wild Thangs - #6 v #4
NC
Attack Dogs @ Mantis - #3 v #5
Frogs @ Wolverines - #8 v #4
Patriots @ Wolflings - #6 v 3rd ranked AC Team
