I love that everyone is on a level playing field and has a shot in Power Mode. Besides, it's the only way I have found so far that allows me to win against Steve and the Blitz!

no mate.. the players are all equal in skill. so a 25 skill LB will be made into a 45? skill, as are the others in team - No extra points to player at end, But your playbook will be the key, so if you wonder why the ProSet run didn't work, then this will power up that play, so RB will have more chance of a good run.. or notif it increases skills, count me in P |

From the manual:
play in Power Mode all skills are set to 40 at game time. You won't see this in the skill bars nor will you see it in the player details. Intelligence and Physical Condition are not affected by this setting. Fargo Knights is in. Last edited on 2024-04-13 14:23:05 by Olband |

Ok, I was saying the no good luck bit to aberthaw in jest, but apparently the deities who rule computer football simulations took me seriously. He had nothing but bad luck. His team actually outplayed mine, significantly more yards, better third down conversions, more time of possession, but threw 9 interceptions!! My secondary is good, but not that good... I started feeling bad every time there was another pick. Sometimes these games are decided more by luck than anything.
Congratulations to the other winners, though none of the games ended up being as close as my numbers predicted. And I'm not going to say anything about the 4- letter L word for the next games. I'll just say that I'm looking forward to them 🙂 |

It's the time factor for me. I'll have more time later this year, so I will have a look then. ;o)
Speaking of lack of time - just realised I played my second string yesterday. Oops. I would not have won, but might have given a better account of the team had I put my first team in. P |

P The mistake I generally make is in my playbook. I will get into a bad loop and be running some ridiculous play over and over. It turns your stomach. I sincerely hate it for you. Don't sell youself short though. Your rating is starting to get to the point that you are a threat in most games. You are about to turn the "first corner" in development in my opinion when your overall rating goes above 75. For reference, look at what Idlers has been doing with a mid 70's rated roster. He may go undefeated through the playoffs and win it all. I will admit that I was worried enough about the game that I scouted you and developed a playbook just for that game. I was surprised with the final score and thought it would have been closer, but this explains it. Great run this season and good luck to you next season Wooly! |

Here's what the numbers say for the Conference Championships:
Champ Chompers @ Idaho Idlers - Idlers by 8 Mustangs @ Niceville Norsemen - Norsemen by 9 Tidbits: - Champ has #1 rush offense, Idaho has #2 rush offense. Champ also has better passing numbers, but Idaho has the better defensive numbers, though not by much. The Idlers only had 805 tackles during the regular season, (meaning their defense was on the field less than any other team in the league,) and the Chompers only had 831 (2nd best in league.) So this should be a real smashmouth struggle of a game. Chompers have the better team rating and higher salary, whereas Idlers have the higher ELO. - Niceville has been dominant all season, having beaten Mustangs twice, though Mustangs has a top notch defense. Mustangs had more passing yards this season than Nicely, but the Norse had more passing TDs. The 'stangs match the Norsies team rating despite having a bit lower salary and the Mustangs have a bit higher ELO. - IF the two favorites win, it'll set up a rematch of the Fire Bowl from two seasons ago. - Three of the four starting QBs are 4* rated. Niceville's Tommy Fitzsimmons is 4.5 stars. - The Idlers' manager is the most seasoned, having started in season 38. Norsemen in 45, Chompers in 46, and the Mustangs in 48. Champ is without an Elite appearance; Niceville and Mustangs each have one. Idaho has been there a few times. - The Idlers went 16-0 this season after going 0-16 last season. - The Idlers had the easiest schedule during regular season play, only facing one of the top 8 teams in the league, whereas the Norsemen and Chompers each faced 3, and the Mustangs faced 4. |
