Today the San Diego Blitz comes to town. Not sure how and why, but we were able to win both match-ups in the Elite we had the last two seasons since we joined the league. We'd not be mad if we win again today, of course, but this lucky streak is due to break. Maybe home advantage will work it's magic again, though Good luck to everyone today One secret advice, please don't tell anyone π€«π€«π€« You can MOTY him. He can't MOTY you. So there is your chance πππ But please please please, keep this as a secret π«£π«£ And, if it works, you can tell this secret to all other Blitz opponents πππ I'd be worrying about Raspberry more than me. :-) Steve SD Blitz |

Congrats Popotamo Now battle starts for the second place in my division. I wish I managed to get those 7 points more, but drive ended at 1 yard line Thanks. A surprise for me I'll have to look at the logs to understand what the hell happened. Consider yourself lucky to be able to fight for second place of division. I've been out of the fight for weeks |

So, now that all the bye-weeks are done and we all have played 10 games we might have a look at what's going on in the divisions, no?
AC East The Prairie Dogs lead with a comfortable cushion of 5 wins on the Deflators in second place, which means they can clinch the AC East with a win against the ChosenOnes on Tuesday. Behind them itβs close, though, with only two wins seperating the Deflators at #2 and TOOL at #4, with JΓ€ger being sandwiched in between. Will the Deflators be able to stay afloat, or will they be relegated to the Thunder region again for the first time since S50? AC North The bottom two teams in this division are the ones that were promoted last season, the Fargo Knights and the Braska Bangers 09, and they both are 4 wins behind the Grail Knights at #2 and 5 wins behind the TigerCats at #1. With 6 games to go they still have their chances, but they got to get going soon, or they will find themselves in the Fire region again next season. AC South Herein resides and leads the single remaining unbeaten team of this season, being the Peoples Republic of Yorkshire. #2, the Sea Eagles, and #3, the Diorite Lions, are both 3 games behind, the Saker Falcons at #4 even 5. It will be tough for either of them to catch the Yorkies, but the race for staying Elite is on and will remain exciting until the bitter end. AC West One of two divisions where #1 and #3 are separated by 2 wins, but the only one where the gap from #1 to #4 is only 3: the AC West is a miracle bag this season. The Magpies do seem to struggle under their rebuild, Melittlemen makes the impression to take advantage of that. VenoM, too, stays competitive with an occasional win. One might assume that the only team that has no chance in this division is the ChosenOnes, but even them inexplicably win games, so no oneβs save here. NC East This division sees an era coming to an end, as the Alpin Ducks are in the final stages of business closure. Curiously that seems to affect the Mandos, too, as they already have 3 losses, which is a bit strange at this point of the season. They do lead the division, though, by 2 wins on the mystics at #2 and 6 wins on the Mavericks at #3, so they will of course stay Elite. The Mavericks will have to really push the envelope, or they will be playing in the Sea Devils region again next season. NC North In this division resides the single winless team of this season and the first to surely be relegated back to their original region, being the Leverkusen Leopards. Itβs pretty outragous, in my humble opinion, to see such a well rounded team with a playbook that always gets great coaches karma losing all the games, while worse teams with bad coaches karma win some. But it is what it is. The Ruhrpott Miners at #3 still have a chance to stay another season, but theyβll have to catch the Dublin Oilers who are 3 wins in front. Needless to say: the Kraken sits at #1. NC South The second division in which #1 and #3 are separated by only 2 wins. Furthermore #2 and #4 are separated by 2 wins also, so the race for staying Elite is close, too. Itβs maybe unlikely that the Zombaes at #4 will win the South, as they would have to make up 4 wins on the Blitz, but everything else is still possible in this one. Interestingly enough: Both βnewβ teams that were promoted, the Elephants and Raspberry Bush, are sandwiched in between. NC West The Chelt Nam Bobbers reign supreme once again and have their stay in the Elite almost secured with a 5 win lead on 3rd place. At 2nd place the SEA LIONS show signs of stumbling through the back half of their schedule (as always ), and they must hope to win 3 of their 4 remaining divisional match-ups for another season with the Elite. Pizti Beltzak and the Olivos Borrachos both have only 3 wins to make up on 2nd place, but also tough games to play on the back end of their schedules. |

Congratulation on the win, Rufio.
My team did again use the idiot-card and commited turnovers like there is no tomorrow, while being unable to use the chance they got. |

Today's the second game in this crucial stretch against RZA royalty for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS. The first game, against the Blitz, was lost, and especially the third quarter left a lot to be desired, with only 1 First Down and a lost Fumble for us, but one Field Goal and two Touchdowns for the opponent. This difference ultimately made the... difference... ... in the outcome of the game.
Now we take the show on the road with the first stop at the Chelt Nam Bobbers. Hopes are not very high that we can get out of there with anything else than a loss, but we will at least try. Our record on foreign turf is flawless for now, and there we even beat the one team that was able to beat the Bobbers. Maybe that comes around and we'll somehow benefit from this? It would be amazing Good luck for everyone today |
