Bottom line is, if you don't build your stadium then you can't stay competitive in the long term. You won't be able to afford your player salary when they get really good. Usually I sell 90% or more of my stadium seats. If you are selling 90% now, then imagine how much you bring in when you sell 90% of 143k seats? It is 8 million plus a home league game.

Yeah. I was here when RZA started, and carefully watched the largest stadiums to see what attendance was (we all started in 2.1 or 2.2). Attendance increased at every level that managers built their stadiums. I ended being about the 10th with a max stadium (it took 1 1/2 seasons) and never saw a small crowd at League or SuperCup games.

As sfniner08 says - you will make big $$ with maxed stadium. My last home League game:

"2012-05-19 19:08:21 8,439,480 Ticket income"

You will see 90% attendance until you hire level 20 PR team (which will pay for itself once your stadium hits ~40,000 seats).

If you look at your away SuperCup games, you can see fans turn out in big numbers in big stadiums.

Appears to me [no hard evidence] in just looking at the xfer market. That the senior players aren’t being bid on as much. Over 30 players appear to be not at all

Players of 30 and over have always been very unloved on the TM.
I don't think their value has fallen recently because I think it always was absolutely rock bottom anyway.

It makes sense at this stage of the game, if you think about it.

Day1 30yos on my team have had the same amount of time to train and improve as the Day1 25yos on my team. So they aren't any better than the 25yos.

In 5 seasons there will be some pretty awesome 30yos playing, and I think their prices will be going up then. By then, you'll be discovering that only one or two of your new draftees are instant starters.

All in all, kinda funny to get the email's from other GM"s complaing about my stadium size. Must be a BIG need for that ticket sale!

Chicago Blues Fans are a small but rowdy bunch!

Not sure why they'd be complaining...it only affects them if you host a SuperCup, and pete has set up SuperCup schedule so the larger stadium is host. My guess is you don't host too many.

In League play, only you are affected, so it's possible they aren't complaining so much as trying to be helpful. (Unless it's a playoff game, of course then they would be complaining - especially if you are beating them. )

Yeah, I wouldn’t want ANY of these old farts on my team! Wink, wink, nudge, nudge!

Wow, you found 8 star players that age in a league of 32 X 55+ players.
Most of them are on a decline in the speed and quickness area.

At the moment, there are NO well trained 30+ agers!
Let this game develop over years and there will be players available and then some will take them.
For 80 mio? Probably not. But for sure they are not worthless.

Problem here will be, that old players will be expensive in weekly wages, because of the high skills they have. THAT might lead to a lot of cuts once a season starts.

I'm not buying any players, lol who said I was? I very fine with my team at the moment. Sure could use a few players but they are young and coming along nicely. Made it to Super Bowl 2.2 with them by the way!

I'm not selling out my stadium as is, why should I add on? Holy cow no wonder the Euro and doller are in the mess they are in. Speaking of which just how many 100,000 plus stadiums are there in the world? I can think of 2 and both are University stadiums. Michigan and THE Ohio State.

No wonder you have a bee in your bonnet regarding big spending on the TM/trading if you are not making the most of your own money resources. You should not even be looking at the TM yet.

Building a max sized stadium is the #1 priority for every manager.

And if you disagree, you are playing the wrong game.

I guess I disagree, lol. However I don’t downplay the need for a large stadium, I just don’t think it is a number one priority as you claim. My money situation is just fine for where my club is at[for now]. Now I also wasn’t planning on moving up to 1.1 this season either. So this season is really kind of a waste for me. My team can’t compete on this level nor would I expect it to. However I’m here and will be making the adjustments all season. If I stay in 1.1 there are going to be some ugly losses for awhile, but high draft picks as a reward for getting my brains bashed in. If I go back down to 2 then it will make building easier because I can experiment more with the playbook, so really a win, win either way. Adding in the new PC rules for 30+ players was also a game changer for my plans.

Also I’m not against the “big” spending on the xfer market. I ‘m against what is the hoarding of players. While RZA is still very new this practice is damaging the game as a whole. Simple fact is, if the talent level was more spread out and those good talent players actual playing instead of marking time on a roster spot, the games would be more competitive across ALL divisions.

How can this be?! How are you relying on players 30+ for more than one season at a time?

I haven't really noticed any real difference in the PC hit for my team. My 31 yo CB went down 1% and my 30 yo WR went down 2% and they each played in every game this past "training period. Do you not think that older player get tired faster and take longer to recover than younger players? At least the training for these players has not taken a hit at all. Be thankful for that rather than bitch about a negligible change.
