Maybe it's not too late for an advice: Stay away from the coaches unless y our stadium is way bigger. They are just too expensive at the moment.

Yeah - get your economy in order first. Hiring coaches too early is probably the #1 reason managers to bankrupt.

Try to avoid any expenditures until stadium hits ~20k. Then hire a level 20 PR team.

Once stadium hits ~40k, you can afford to spend some money on other stuff, but keep rolling most income back into more seats.

You'll be glad you did.

Good luck in the game!

edit: your Coaches can be very expensive. Mine cost >$2,000,000 every Wed and Sun.

What is the advantage in a level 20 PR team?

Yes, yes I'm off to read the manual section on it.

A level 20 PR will boost your home attendance from ~90% to ~99%. The extra filled seats will pay the PR salary of $50,000/update.

You can start thinking about adding the Weight room once you get over 30,000 seats...

Thanks Lee, the weight room looks like a solid investment for my fledgling team (I'll be over 30k stadium on 30th) given my OL and DL is rubbish.

I feel it's the one to invest in first, as there may never be a time you aren't training Strength, Blocking and Tackling.

Tell me about it, i hired a coach with 76 CP and a 3* EXP, after he signed i was all happy and gigly rubbing my hands saying "Im gona get them now"... and then i went to do a forecast and realized that my income was cut in HALF, from a possible 14 Millions income it was now at 7 Millions!!! I fired the dam blood sucker imideatly, had to give him a chunk of money but my forecast now is showing 12 Millions so i feel more at ease now. Still costed me close to 1 Million to hire and fire him.

In my mind you need two things before hirign Caoches:

- stable economy
- a plan

For instance.
1) - I knew I was going to have a Run-First offense.
2) - I was converting a nice draftee/FA from WR to RB (Toth, who is now 20+ Carry and 20+ Catch)
3) - I was training a couple of RB prospects in my YA
4) - I knew my OLine was just about average, and that was not good enough

So I hired a 97 HC, because I wanted a very good RB AC. I hired a 96 RC AC, and went for an old guy (he's 70 now) because I felt once I had my RBs set up, I wouldn't need the high level RB AC. Since he refuses to retire, I'll keep training the heck out of RBs for at least this and one more season. I built the Mountain to boost my Carry training. That took care of Coaching Goals 1), 2), and 3). (I just promoted a 40/40 Spd/Str RB from my YA).

I hired an 87 OL AC. Still working on 4), but that was important to get good line play from my so-so OLine.

Then I hired a bunch of 51-52 ACs to fill out all the defensive coaching slots, Special Teams (because I used to do a little kicking), and everything but WR and TE. (I plan to start work on the passing game whenever my 70yo RB AC hangs up his whistle).

That gives me 171-173 training points for the YA every update, and my RBs and OLine tend to play above their ability.

DISCLAIMER: I had a fully built stadium when I hired coaches. I can (probably!) afford the $2M/u p d a t e salary hit.

You can get good results with a HC ~65-70, and 9 or 10 ACs 51-65, and spend a lot less!!!
