Sproles is no bad pick either. I would worry about the Saints mental shape for this year after the bounty fiasco.
I figure that Bush would get more time on the ball |

I personally think too much is being made about the whole bounty thing - and if anything, it may just pull the Saints together - this isnt gonna make them a bad team, and they will still have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL.
Thats ultimately why i took Sproles - sure they have a couple of other backs that will take plays off him, but for catching out of the backfield and punching in mid range TD runs, there are few better. I may live to regret not taking Reggie, but im quite happy with the selection, especially with BJGE falling to me as well. My overall roster post draft, from the #1 position (in round order) : R1 - Arian Foster (pick 1) surprise selection of the round - Matt Forte - taken 9th overall R2 - Roddy White (20) SSOTR - Jimmy Graham - taken 13th overall R3 - Greg Jennings (21) SSOTR - Peyton Manning - taken 23rd overall R4 - Tony Romo (40) SSOTR - Hakeem Nicks - dropped to 34th overall R5 - Darren Sproles (41) SSOTR - Eli Manning - dropped to 47th overall R6 - Benjarvus Green Ellis (60) SSOTR - 49ers DST - taken 55th overall R7 - Marques Colston (61) SSOTR - Justin Blackmon - taken 63rd overall R8 - Jermichael Finley (80) SSOTR - DeSean Jackson - dropped to 76th overall R9 - Matt Ryan (81) SSOTR - Seahawks DST - taken 82nd overall R10 - Eagles DST R11 - Robert Meachem R12 - Lions DST R13 - Mike Williams R14 - Owen Daniels R15 - Leonard Hankerson R16 - Mason Crosby |

R2 - Roddy White (20) SSOTR - Jimmy Graham - taken 13th overall R3 - Greg Jennings (21) This is very interesting. I'm in a 20-team keeper league where I'm keeping Newton,Graham and Jennings. The league Commish has said that we can trade for picks NOW i.e. the site isn't open for trades (until after the Draft), but if the deals are arranged (via E-Mail) between two parties, the Commish will use his LM powers to swap players/picks between teams. So ..... I've put some trade bait out there .... Demaryius Thomas, Steve Johnson and Roddy White. I've had one or two people interested , but they look like low-ball bids to me .....the league manager himself said he didn't want to give his first round pick for White, but it looked like his next Pick was a 3rd rounder ...looked a bad deal to me. I'm also removing myself from many leagues this year, last year I had zillions of leagues (35+ or something like that), this year RZA is enough for me, so Fantasy Footy will take a bit of a back seat....... although I do have high hopes for the RZA fantasy footy leagues (especially the Dynasty), I love Dynasty ....it's great if you can get a good Dynasty league, very satisfying. |

Ill be doing about 20 fantasy leagues this year - my CBS Sportsline league and the RZA leagues will be my 'feature' leagues for definite (and MASSIVELY agree with your comment about the Dynasty leagues - looking forward to this hugely as the participants are RZA managers, so should be some longevity in there). What screamed out to me from the first draft was the severe lack of 'trustable' RB's and the amazing quantity of WR's available this year. OK - no one really knows how it will pan out until the season kicks off, but with more teams going to a 'committee' style running game, and more teams developing a pass heavy or potent passing game, the emphasis is surely on WRs and most definitely TEs from a fantasy perspective. I think thats why Jennings and White dropped - from 13/14 to 20/21 as teams reached for more second tier RBs to ensure some quality in their RB slots, knowing that they can fill WR slots up in later rounds - with #2 WRs likely having similar productivity than classic #1 WRs - (Jordy Nelson/Greg Jennings - Julio Jones/Roddy White). I think this year pretty much more than ever, draft position is absolutely vital in determining draft strategies. Id much rather be at the start or end of a round and have two picks close than one mid pick per round. |

Who do you have at RB by the way? White plus Thomas could be used for a RB the likes of Forte, McFadden, Gore if they are considered surplus to requirements?

White plus Thomas could be used for a RB the likes of Forte, McFadden, Gore if they are considered surplus to requirements? lol .... some of my RB's were absolute shockers I found it difficult to do much with the roster as plenty of the other managers seemed reluctant to trade, it was the type of league where you make a half-decent trade offer and get a reply of "how dare you make me such a disgracefully low offer" .... I always used to put in the trade offer "feel free to make me a counter-offer and I'll try to make something happen" .... never tended to get any counters though My RB's (who are all going back into the Re-Draft pot) are :- Kahlil Bell , Cedric Benson , Ricky Williams , Chris Ivory and .... the love of your life .... Brandon Jacobs I rate Ivory, he's just unlucky to be on that team with a good selection of RB's like Sproles etc etc ..... but obviously Ivory isn't good enough to be one of my 3 Keepers. Still have my doubts about this league though, one of the managers got kicked out for accepting too many stupid trade offers when he was drunk (WTF ! ) .... and then when 2 guys didn't re-appear this off-season, the Commish invited the drunken fruitcake back ....doesn't give me much confidence in the Commish .... I might cut my losses before the Draft and gracefully retire .... 50/50 on whether to stay or go (lol ....sounds very 'Clash' ....I'll be London Calling next ). |

LOL...reckon you may need to 'Rock the Casbah' and either give the league the flick or become Commish yourself!!
Yep, Chris Ivory will have a few nice weeks production, but with Sproles and Pierre Thomas he isnt to be relied on at all. It is a sorry looking bunch of Backs there though mate to be honest. Im not sure any of those will be picked up in the re-draft!! I hate it when you make what is a reasonable trade offer and its either ignored or declined for either no reason or no counter. I love to trade and sometimes pull the trigger even if i feel im getting a slight downside overall. Im actually putting together a trade offer now to see if i cant tempt A-Rod away from the number 4 picker...gotta make trades, its part of the game and the fun!! |

In 1 or 2 leagues I had Crabtree or Hayward-Bey for a short time ...I keep asking myself ... WHY !!! Benson wasn't too bad in some ways last year (in a 20-team league, I mean !). |

Yes, he didnt do too bad - wouldve been better but for the emergence of Dalton and AJ Green as well. He is (surprisngly???) still on the FA list - id have thought someone would pick him up - but atm he will go undrafted in all but the very deepest of fantasy league! May have to do another ESPN league tonight.... |
