I've got it .... Pete hates Kickers & Punters ! ..... that's why experience is on a per-play basis, so that K & P don't get much experience .... and then he doesn't let the Special Teams AC push their PC training .... so ...yeah ...no doubt about it .... Pete is anti-Kickers/Punters I did not take your post as serious as (maybe?) Turtle, but I feel it is worth an answer. Read this! actually .... I don't have a problem at all with Experience growing on a per-play basis. I think by doing it this way you avoid an obvious Exploit with per-Game experience (i.e. 'tricks' to get as many players on the field in one game as possible, but for just a single play). The only slight problem that I have is with the 'starting base' for Experience ... but I've raised that in another thread, hopefully it gets answered. Another tiny problem with experience is the Star system ... Buffalo already mentioned it .... I will liken it to 'Player Rating' in that a player with a rating of 2.5* may 'really' be 2.51 whereas another player with 2.5* may 'really' be 2.99 .... but they both show as 2.5* stars ......it's a lack of granularity in some ways ......... but I think the situation is a bit like having Michael Crabtree as a WR on my favourite team .... I might not like it much, but I'll just have to put up with it. |

Why should someone put specific rules for position in the code, where is is not needed? Did you see this over a long time or only sometimes? The reason why I'm asking ist, that with con and exp the real used CP can be different on each training update. With a very few training samples, these results can be just bad luck! he DID put in a specific rule .... OK, you found a bug. Good work Sherlock Buffalo. |

But 'Player Rating' is not allways correct. How so? It is simply a visualisation of a mixture of skills calculated together through a position based formula, only Peter knows. What's wrong or right with that? |
