Would like to see the rate of exp increased for K and P.

This would need to be done in a non exploitable manner. The extra exp only works for a K or P, and also exp for a P does not work if the player is used as a K and vice versa (either played at different positions or a full position change).

So it is completely non transferable for other positions.

For those that did not read the initial discussion it would be great to learn a bit more than "I want to have it" or "no"...

Initial discussion found here and a couple of more threads scattered around the forums, but this one is the most recent.

Basically Kickers and Punters have less plays per game than any other positions. But experience gain is calculated per play, so obviously K/P will gain less experience than anyone else in RZA.

Currently a player will have 5* EXP after 6-8 seasons of play (with 30 games a seasons and 30 to 50 plays per game according to Pete). League games are the average, Super Cup games and Playoff games mean more EXP while Friendly games mean less.

The main problem comes to less plays overall for these two positions. Especially if a team is a lot stronger than the other then a punter will have maybe 2-3 plays, and the kicker a few PATs and kickoffs, maybe 1-2 FG tries and that's it.

Pete dropped a hint to make a suggestion about increased Special Team experience gain.

My concern:

My reason being that this would be up for easy exploitation. Mainly listing any player as G from defense and KR from offense (remember no out of position penalty!!!). Every defensive position needs tackling so no problem there to list anyone at G, and kick returns are limited to 25 yards, so really no harm in listing any offensive position there. So I could list a couple of players as special team players too, so they would get the EXP from offense/defense plays, then get higher EXP from special team plays. Wait until they hit 5* EXP real fast (compared to now) then switch the special team players out for other players to hit 5* EXP fast.

But dark_wing's comment also makes sense:

Yes. G and KR can take aditional EXP. May be...
But, I think, kick-off and punt included in fatigue calculation.
So your HB#1 or LB#1 or WR#1 etc can play lower numbers of "normal" plays. In this case, your top players plays same number of total plays, take same EXP, but your score can be worse!

And ideally this is what we'd like to see:

Perhaps raising the exp gain only for K/P? I doubt people would gamble on FGs and punts with someone that has 10 kicking/punting.

BTW if this is doable only for K and P and not the entire special team, then I'm all for it.

I guess only Pete can answer that.

It would be possible...

Here's an idea -

All K and P could have a random exp allocated to them for life that is unchanging. So there is a bit of a random factor there from kicker to kicker. Might be easier from a programming point of view?

I guess that would mean every player needs 2 of these numbers - one for if he plays K and another if he's played as a P.
