Suggestion: Playbook Distance To GL In Game - Page 1 - Forum - RedZoneAction.org - Free online American Football Manager Game

The problem isn't really the Playbook distances to GL, more of the way they translate to the actual game.

I recentely noticed that when you setup a play on your Playbook to be executed Inside a certain distance it does not account for that distance as beeing part of it.

Example: 4th Down - <30 Yard line - Field Goal

If you have it setup like that and it so happens that you are right on the 30 yard line your Field Goal unit will not come in, because the engine does not count the 30 Yard line as beeing inside that distance. And since we don’t have the option right now to s e l e c t yard by yard, “only” every 5 yards, I was thinking it could be changed one of two ways.

Possibilitie #1
Make the 30 yard line (used in the example but naturaly the suggestion is for all distances) count as beeing inside that distance.

<5 Inside the 5 = 5 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<10 Inside the 10 = 10 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<15 Inside the 15 = 15 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<20 Inside the 20 = 15 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<25 Inside the 25 = 25 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<30 Inside the 30 = 30 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<35 Inside the 35 = 35 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<40 Inside the 40 = 40 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<45 Inside the 45 = 45 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<50 Inside the 50 = 50 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<55 Inside the 55 = 55 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<60 Inside the 60 = 60 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<65 Inside the 65 = 65 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<70 Inside the 70 = 70 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.
<75 Inside the 75 = 75 yard line could/should count as beeing inside of that distance.

Small Note - Maybe instead of showing <30 we could have it be <=30.

We could have the present rule changed to have one more yard added to it, instead of having to choose <30 we would have <31. Since we can’t setup yard by yard this would work just fine.

<11 Inside the 11 = 10 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<16 Inside the 16 = 15 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<21 Inside the 21 = 15 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<26 Inside the 26 = 25 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<31 Inside the 31 = 30 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<36 Inside the 36 = 35 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<41 Inside the 41 = 40 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<46 Inside the 46 = 45 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<51 Inside the 51 = 50 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<56 Inside the 56 = 55 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<61 Inside the 61 = 60 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.
<66 Inside the 66 = 65 yard line would count as beeing inside of that distance.

Aldo this doesn’t sound very important, it can infact dictate outcomes in games. Imagine you are on your opponents 30 yard line with 40 secs to go, you are tied and you have a rule on your Playbook stating Tied - <30 Yard Line - Less then 1 min - Field Goal, it won’t happen because unfortunaly you are right on top of the 30 yard line, and that does not count as beeing inside the distance.

Any more thoughts on the matter are welcome.

	Why not simply put in the coding the option to set the exact a FG try is permissable?
