Here my idea for the so called super league: In the first superleague season all championship finalists of all 1.1 Leagues are promoted. The 2 teams of one League play again in the same Division. This mean in the superleague the 8 division are equivalent to the 8 regions. At the end of the season the two worst team of each Regiondivision are replaced with the bowl finalists of the same 1.1. League region and the 2 teams go back to their original league. So after every season the half league will be replaced by new teams. The worst 16 teams go back to their original league. All 8 Superleague divisions play at their original time. Excellent idea! |

Honestly if I joined the game now I would tire of lack of competition with human opponents and quit very soon because bot bashing is not what most people seek in online games. I think more managers would leave, if they get bashed in every game. Bot bashing at the beginning is better. So managers have enough time to learn all the features of RZA. I know a lot of game, where the first phase is only bot bashing. |

Much of this discussion has ended up steering towards the discussion of a "Superleague" of the best from each "Namedleague" and yes this would be nice, however it still leaves the question of how to keep new players staying in the game to become an integral part of it's development.
Laudan earlier stated something of interest whereby all "Bot" teams were given a proper team name and that while they remain a bot team they could develop in some small way by keeping their draftees though those teams would not develop as much as a human managed team, in as much, they would be no training guide, no properly organised depth chart or playbook, no stadium development and no Coaches or staff. Then when a new player picks up this team when joining the game he should have, when reorganised, a team that could compete against other human managed teams already in that league. Now you will have to also think on how the draft would work out with changes to the introduction of a "Superleague" as well as making new managers feel they can make progress to the very top. The "Superleague" draft would have to be restricted with the maximum star rating for that league being 2.5, where in league level 3 all draftees should be 3 stars, league 2 level should be two thirds 3 stars and league 1 level, as it is now 1/3 3 stars. This would make the "BIG" teams, who supposedly know more about the game, learn as well when it comes to squad and player development over a period of time, much like the lower league managers will hope to poach through the TM, good older players that the "BIG" teams may put there to try and climb the heights quicker. Also the draft list should slightly larger then the number of drafts allowed to create a regular supply of free agents. just like it is in real life. Buffalo's idea for the "Superleague" promotion and relegation is the perfect choice and there should not be, depending on Pete, any reason why the home team in the "Superleague" plays at their normal "Namedleague" time this obviously means when they are playing away in a non-divisional match they will be playing at a different time, again much like in real life. Other things Fish mentioned before he left, like the playbook or the match viewing can only be developed over time. Play description will always be a problem for anyone who sets up a multinational game and then chooses english as the main language when english is not their first language, but these can be sorted out through discussion and time as the changes are agreed. Preachie has shown us the future with the Game centre and when he is sure he can do the coding to show the extra bits people would like to see on it, I think, along with improved, hopefully occassionally exiciting play description we will have a game we all can be proud that Pete has brought to us. Finally I would like to say I am enjoying playing this game. I like management type games generally and my interest in NFL, which started back in 1976, has improved as this game is helping me understand the significance of the strategy, the plays, the depth chart and the development and training of players. Keep up the good work Pete and your team of advisors and developers. |

Awesome achievement Pete & Preachie & the rest of the gang!
Here's to many more #1 spots BTW: I always thought that promotion for credits event a few months ago was nice. It could be made a regular thing, not for double the points like last time though, but for a little extra credits nonetheless. |

There is a "proper" way to leave the game? I know that teams cannot be sold, but does the community wish that owners who are leaving put their players on the TM? Or should I just delete my bookmarks and just walk away - - I'm leaning towards putting them on the market. Peace, Fish You just slip out the back, Jack Make a new plan, Stan You don't need to be coy, Roy Just get yourself free Hop on the bus, Gus You don't need to discuss much Just drop off the key, Lee And get yourself free I assume he'd never leave RZA, so be must be planning on leaving his GF on Valentine's Day (cold man).... One advantage to Bots keeping their draft picks is the catchup problem... If new gamers inherited draft quality players, even if not the best players because they were picked by bots, they would not be 12+ seasons away from being able to compete. As it stands now, any new team is at a draft player disadvantage to older teams that they cannot really overcomeuntil the older teams early draft picks begin to retire.
I think better bot teams would be a huge plus to the game |
