ESPN Mock Draft

Agreed.
I also think one (or more) Team(s) will trade down .... if the Raiders trade down then that completely changes the top end of the Draft.

Why are this year in the top 10 Mock draft 7 Defence player? No QB, no RB, no WR just 2 OT. I know defence wins games, but why is this year so that i think the college players in the offence is not so good^^

I think the feeling is that there aren't any marquis QB in the draft this year (or at least before the combine). There are a couple of 1st round worthy WRs, but non that are game breakers. I think with the emphasis on the passing game, teams tend not to have need franchise RBs. Most teams have several RBs that they play depending on the situation (down & distance, red zone, short yardage etc.) So those "role players" are rarely 1st round picks.

IMO, a QB will go Top 10 ...... I think Geno Smith goes at #7 to Arizona Cardinals.

RunningBacks seem to get picked later in recent NFL Drafts, I think there are 2 reasons :-

(a) They're prone to serious injuries (ACL/MCL) that will keep them from playing for the whole season or even terminate a career.
(b) Recent History has shown that if you do your homework on a RB, you can get a Franchise RB with later Picks .... Arian Foster (Undrafted FA), Alfred Morris (Round 6).

Add together (a) and (b) and it means that a RB has to be really special to go in the Top 10.

And additional to that, not many early round RBs of the past did bring the performance you might expect from such a player.

First rounders in the last 5 years:
2007
7 Adrian Peterson
12 Marshawn Lynch

2008
4 Darren McFadden
13 Jonathan Stewart
22 Felix Jones
23 Rashard Mendenhall
24 Chris Johnson

2009
12 Knowshon Moreno
27 Donald Brown
31 Chris "Beanie" Wells

2010
9 C. J. Spiller
12 Ryan Mathews
30 Jahvid Best

2011
28 Mark Ingram

2012
32 David Wilson

Now, which one would you give the title "elite" RB?

I agree with your a & b, but I also think the shift to the passing game from a balance offense has meant that marquis RBs values have dropped.

Whether the Cardinals take Geno Smith or not, I think depends on combine performance. Also, there is a rumor that Arizona is going to acquire Alex Smith from the 49ers - - which would make a lot of sense for both those teams.

CBS Mock Draft

3. * Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State: Blessed with a quick first step, heavy hands and surprising instincts given the fact that the German-born Werner has played just five years of American football, the 6-4, 255-pounder has established himself as one of the country's elite prospects. An immediate standout in Tallahassee, Werner improved in each of his three seasons at Florida State, culminating with winning ACC Defensive Player of the Year this season with 18 tackles for loss, including 13 sacks.

but the CBS one is actually a big board rather than a mock draft, as they're just ranking the Draftees rather than ranking the Draftees and adjusting the board according to the needs of the Franchise.

However, that's just a technicality .... the thing that interests me is who do the Raiders pick as they're picking at #3 and that will dramatically impact the whole top order.
I saw one mock draft that thinks they take DT Star Lotulelei ....... but the raiders have a history of weird & wonderful picks ...... I'm wondering if they roll the dice and go for Geno Smith.

i hope not trading down for picks to get some good players would be best IMO. need CBs, RG and RT upgrades and another LB to maybe before we think of our DL but its still to early as lots can change with FAs
