Population wouldn't support having a league. Most of the rugby players from Samoa play in New Zealand That would explain it. |

I think one factor with Samoa is, that it is split between a amercian protected part and the other one.
The US-protected part probably does send a lot of Samoan kid/young adults (for example of samoan business men or scholarships) into the US-Highschool and College system, and if you are THERE you have a better chance to get into the NFL. That does not explain why they play football, but that's probably a product of the us Samoan relationchip. |

Youtube and Dailymotion have some good videos, and I wish I could remember that german video site with all the EAV songs (they're nice, but not football).. It looks like Japan has the largest crowds, Korea has the best scenery, and you can watch a short quarterback do a leap over a linebacker while he's running an option... looked like Doug Flutie.

The French have shown much in commentary. So far, I give the Japanese an advantage in cheerleaders. Who said the Japanese don't know American football? I once read Japan is playing american football since the 1920s! As I understand it, Japan imported much of american culture after its opening to the "western civilization" in the early 1900s. As a matter of fact, baseball is Japan's "national sport", and I'm sure you can easily find footage of a MLB All-Star team tour in Japan in the 1930s with Babe Ruth and all the immortals of the game playing a dozen games against local teams. It was the biggest sporting event of all time for Japan, with people going crazy in the stadiums and in the streets as well. Of course, it was BEFORE the war began. |

Now that site. Is. Cool!
It's a shame that the NFL and Directv would never allow a team's website to stream games in the US. |

The NFL day pass is expensive as well so I stream nearly all the games.
