I took the time to scout out Mystic for my game today. I figured I either needed to scout them and find a different way to use my playbook or use MOTY as I have lost 2 close games to them this season. I chose the first method. I didn't want to use MOTY if it would just take a tweak.
I knew that Mystic has a specific pattern, heck I could write down his playbook right now. For instance, he runs all the time in Proset. He has rarely passed. Well I thought I'd be "smart" about it and installed a 5-3-3 defense vs his proset thinking "hey, it will be hard to run against all those d linemen. I was excited after the first quarter because he doesn't start that proset until the second quarter. Well up to 7 minutes to go in the half it is 0-0. Ping pong with turnovers. Very exciting. Then it starts...his proset is killing me with 8 yards or more per carry. Well at halftime it is him leading 14-0. He runs that offense the rest of the game. So, my "tweak" is now a huge gaping hole he will run through. I should have just left everything alone  after all he beat me last game because of 2 turnovers in the 2nd quarter. I turn it over vs him more than anyone. Well at more critical junctions than anyone.

After having a fairly successful season I have now lost 4 in a row. Man that hurts....
