(please send any contributions to my inbox... vote for a top 10 loosely based on W-L record, plus a few choice comments I can use - get involved! Otherwise you just have to put up with my biased waffling.

1. Solihull Moors (1-0) - Started the season laying down the gauntlet to any who who would dare to challenge them. This was a ruthless obliteration of hapless Panthers on both sides of the ball.

2. Gotham City Bats (1-0) - No early season wobbles for the reigning champions. On the scoreboard anyway. Their numbers were woeful. But then we've got used to that by now!

3. Sacramento XSV (1-0) - They deserve this. And they will be revelling in champagne fuelled glory until the wee small hours. What a way to announce themselves in 1.1!

4. The Shoulderriding Raccoons (1-0) - Another big scalp fell in week one. Few would have backed Devon to fall here, but the Raccoons tore them to pieces and feasted on their entrails.

5. Venice Panthers (1-0) - A sneaky MOTY to kick the season off, downing divisional front runners in a tense, hard fought game. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't even effective for 90% of the game, but they did just enough, then forced the Celtics to go 4 and out from inside the redzone in the final minute.

6. Huddersfield Hippos - was that a MOTY from the Meteors? It was a tight, tough game, and with or without the boost, Brisbane can beat anyone on their day, so this will be a satisfying result for the Hippos.

7. Kaunas Hurricane - very impressive opening day win against SV Furpach, dominating all areas of the game

8. RGIII - RGIII went to the ground and played an effective game of keep ball. They will be relieved to chalk up a W after their horror start to last season.

9. Gladiators - improved and impressed throughout season 10, and though they might not have enough to topple Naprzod Marsz for their division, the Gladiators look set to further their reputation.

10. Firenze Fappers - all too easy for the Fappers against the weakest newcomers to 1.1

11 Botev Plovdiv - what to make of them? I doubt even their owner knows - a very young and effective team, capable of being a winning dynasty for a long time. But does he want it?

12 Naprzod Marsz
13 Monster Piskots
14 The Swiss
15 Chrzanow Grizzlies
16 Hameln Rats

Cant disagree much - hard to do on first week!

Brisbane did use the MOTY on me, so delighted with that result!

I read these while I was in 2.1. Now its a lot more fun that I am in the same league. Thanks for these write ups! I dont think I will be on this list for very long though.

Sacramento XSV should be at the top(if we consider this season only)!

I thought of that, then decided against it.... he needs something to aim for.

Now if he beats the Hippos next, the #1 spot is definitely Sacramento's!

Not hugely surprised by the Devon - Raccoons result. Warriors have an aging roster and now retirements are starting to hit them so it'll be a tough few seasons.

Congrats Strange though, easily the result of the round! Proud of my team too it was a great result and performance, but hard to learn much from that (no offense to Panthers); tougher tests will come, starting with Rats. If I get MOTY'd in the sc, which is a huge possibility, i could struggle.

1. Solihull Moors 2-0 (=) - The relentless march to another Divisional title has begun for the team with the league's most brutal D.

2. Huddersfield Hippos 2-0 (+4) - 2 narrow wins, but 2 vital ones. They left it late to cruelly deny Sacramento.

3. Monster Piskots 2-0 (+10) - mightily impressive demolition of a playoff team from last season

4. Sacramento XSV 1-1 (-1) - a vicious opening schedule - but they've downed one major name, and come within an ace of repeating the feat. Underestimate them at your peril.

5. Venice Panthers 2-0 (=) - much easier for them this time, but the manner of their victory was impressive

6. RG III 2-0 (+2) - A dour, turgid game. They are winning though, unlike last season's opening weeks.

7. Firenze Fappers 2-0 (+3) - A huge 2nd quarter turned the game and the Fappers went on to coast to an easy win. The AC West was weak last season, and once again it remains to be seen if any of the others are capable of challenging.

8. The Swiss 2-0 (+6) - it's hard to imagine them having the staying power to keep with the Moors. They should however keep the W column ticking nicely all the way to the playoffs.

9. Naprzod Marsz 2-0 (+3) - RZA's top Poles grab a place in the top 10, and if history is anything to go by, they won't be dislodged.

10. Botev Plovdiv 2-0 (+1) - Your guess is as good as mine!

11. Insubria Vandals (1-1)
12. Leeds Celtics (1-1)
13. Gotham City Bats (1-1)
14. Lucea Cardinals (1-1)
15. Kaunas Hurricane (1-1)

Awesome writeup again. My hat goes off to the hippos. Its amazing how even a small mistake I made in my depth chart makes all the difference. Also great to see the Vandals continue to execute solid game plans. They are a lot better than their overall would lead you to believe.
