DUD's would just like to make note that our starting quaterback, Burt Baylor, has played his last regular season game for Down Under Devils.
Burt was only our backup QB choice in the Season 6 draft, and was pick #47, but retires at seasons end at age 30. He shared the QB duties with Dave Roman in his first season, but with Roman retiring that year, Burt became the DUD's starting QB, and has been ever since. His Monarchs 1.1 all seasons record of 45,327 passing yds and 498 TD's during regular season games, far surpasses second placed QB, and long time divisional rival, Joël Duquesne from the Black Dragons with 27,266 yds and 342 TD's. With the league having improved significantly since Baylor's debut, it's unlikely that any future QB will ever get the opportunity to play for long enough in a competitive team to match these records. It's been exciting to have Baylor on the team. Regardless of our post season results, the DUD manager just wanted to make note of his contribution to the Monarchs league. |

At least he is not the Dan Marino of the Monarch league. |
