Well I am not expecting much, though from a glance my schedule does appear to be more favorable than it has been in a while. Just got to win the close games, finish them out strong.

New season and new game plan as last seasons wasn't the massive success I had hoped for, so onto plan G
Also thinned the squad down as I keep collecting players who don't get a game and hoping injuries don't become a factor. All the best everyone for another great season |

Looks like the Machine might fall BOT soon.
He did not Login since his Playoff defeat, so missed the draft and rollover, which is not a good sign. He still has around 10 days to Login, but still ... |

Well surprise game today for me was winning over the Marines for the third straight time. Much like our last meeting, our offense could not get much going, and the defense scored more than the offense, or in today's game, the same as the offense. Here are the stats.
Last meeting: 4 defensive tds and none for offense This meeting: 2 defensive tds and 2 on the offense So based on these stats, our offense improved and we had to rely on our defense less than our previous meeting. All around, it was a well played game and it went down to the last tick of the game clock. Manager gatorfan1 is very pleased after today's win and made these comments in a conference after the game: "Our boys played hard today. We fell behind early, but they didn't give up. The defense was stellar today. The offense had some key plays, especially that 80 yd touchdown from Frierson to Beckwith in the third quarter. We need more plays like that. Frierson has announced his retirement after this season and we want him to finish on a season he can be proud of, that the fans can be proud of. The offense is making changes even now to prepare for our new QB, who will be announced at the end of the season. Looking ahead now to our game at Strike Team, who won handily last time we met, hopefully our defense goes in with the same mentality as they had today. Go Gators!" |
