The new season begins in just a few days! Looks like we have plenty of new teams in the league, shaking up some divisions and hopefully adding to the intrigue of the season! Best of luck to everyone! I’ll be hopefully writing up a pre season prediction for all the teams before Thursday

Good luck to everyone in the new season.
I hope we all will be able to give Angus a hard fight for the division title in Elite this season. The Leopards may have a tough season due to their young QBs, but I expect it to be a very interesting season. In the Monarchs league the Aliens will be strongest contender to be back in Elite in season 39. Or will some surprise in the AC? The Bulls? In the NC I would expect a close matchup between the Bruisers and Black Panthers. Guys, have fun... |

For sure I will have a hard time in Elite. But that's how it is.
Dear fellow Monarchs, unfortunatelly at least 4 team are close becoming BOTs, but what is even more disturbing is, that many did not make their team ready for the upcoming season. Sponsors are not selected and as it seems, also the media center is not funded as it could be. That's not a good sign ... I hope we get the trend of decline turned as some point. |

I hope those team owners log in soon. Team ownership is getting somewhat scarce in our league.
The draft is...interesting. I landed my top pick in the draft, a 19 year old CB with 50 speed. I consider myself lucky to get him, especially considering that there are only 3 50 speed CBs in this season's draft. |

Happy Season 38 everyone! And welcome to all the new teams, particularly Rotties in NC East, going four human teams strong now.
I hope the temporarily inactive teams log in as well and we don't lose anybody. I convinced Roll Badge to join in Monarchs 2, hopefully he sticks around and joins us next season, even though he is a Badger fan and Minnesota is obviously superior in every way imaginable. Draft sure is something.. I went for a 50 speed 50 int LB. His teamwork is in the toilet and 21 instead of your top ranked 19 year old, but I opted for the safety of a playable 44 str (yellow, hooray) over unknown str starting at 34.6... Plus his name is fun. Even though long term the 19 year old is probably a good idea over a 21 year old. Honestly, I'm just happy to get a rosterable player out of the draft this year. Good luck to everyone for the dice roll of rounds 2&3. |

I was able to pick up a very solid CB for my first pick, and as I needed a 4th CB, he will immediately be a starter. Good skills and excellent intelligence and speed should provide the extra bit of skill my secondary needs to become a more complete unit. I am excited to see how he does this season, this is the first time in quite a while that a draft pick has been this exciting for me, as previously I developed the at least a season or two prior to giving them starting time.

Got a TE sorted at #3. Will likely send another you WR prospect onto the market, have to see.
Maybe I get a defender with next round and for 3rd round I expect rubbish. |

I have become rather disillusioned with it and do not believe it is currently in the correct format. There are many arguments against it which I won't repeat here but IMO it is currently not fit for purpose. So don't be surprised to see the Aliens lose a key game.... Having said that I am very happy to be back in Monarchs and look forward to some interesting games. Best of luck to all - except when playing against the Aliens! |

My second pick was surprisingly good, although a bit old for my liking. He's 13th on my board, a DL with 46 (yellow) speed. Depending on his max speed (and agility), I may have a new starter at LB.
