Quiet in here..!
S38 Draft 1st round is in the books, and all the usual suspects making good picks! The top 16 on my board went like this:- 1. picked 7th 2. 17th (my pick) 3. 22th 4. 23rd 5. 19th 6. 24th 7. 20th 8. 28th 9. not picked yet 10. 2nd 11. 26th 12. not picked yet 13. 5th 14. 27th 15. 21st 16. 25th Most of the people picking right after me at 17 (specifically 19-28 from this example) went with the same targets I had, which wasn't a huge surprise. I'm pretty sure we all follow similar profiles in our players. And now we see if round 2 brings any bargains. |

Oh, and just checked my LB - his 48.8 SPD is only yellow (STR red)! Nice to combine that with Track Star.

And I also think that quite a number of us profile the same way. Only 2 retiring this season and 1 of them is staying on which helps. |

My top 10 board went like this:
1: #23 2: #10 3: #17 (thanx for the name change, didnt need those 5 min. of my life anyways). 4: #25 5: #28 (my pick) 6: #7 7: #13 8: Still on the board. 9: #11 10: still on the board. Glad to see my guy was on (at least) one more top 10. Guys I may get a bidding war come sell time (selling all 3 picks when they have been maxed out). My 1st rounder came with a yellow strength (41,6) and red speed (50), so wont be long till this one hits the market. Let me know if you want a PM when that happens. |

A very lucky draft so far for me - RB has yellow strength at 45.5 with 50 speed. Bargain at pick 55.

@Lions - Those are two very nice picks! I rated both highly and would have been happy with them too. I rated my 2nd round FB slightly higher but his STR is red capped, still a solid player (I had your RB 19th and mine 9th rated overall).
Fummer - I'll be watching the transfer market, don't worry.

u p d a t e on the last 2 days of the draft:
2 round: Got my # 12 overall, so not bad at 60. It was another WR with ok numbers. Speed yellow at 41,4 and strength red at 46,4. quite good Int., TW and Exp + a trait. Ive had better, but ive had way worse. 3rd round: picking at 92, so not much to choose from. Got a 22 yo QB who could be a backup for someone. Strength capped at 43,6 but speed uncapped at 38,3, so maybe a position change if that ! comes late. Again solid Int., TW and Exp. As im not keeping any these will be available once capped. As for the season, ive made some changes to the coaching staff, to boost some neglected positions for future seasons, so i do expect a small dip in performance, but lets see how bad it gets. Have a good one out there in our little pandemic stricken world. |

Both picks from round 1 and 2 are still yellow so it's really worked out well. 3rd round pick is a long shot to switch from OL to FB which will take time. If I get bored of him he'll go on the transfer market. Still, this has been one of the best drafts I've had - no complaints.
