Playoff Matchups
3 of these 4 wildcard round games feature matches where the opponents know each other well! OTR @ Gardians Gardians swept OTR in Season 44 but since then the divisional opponents have split their season games. In 5 of the 6 games (including the last 4 games) the home team has won. Will that trend continue? I would expect this to be a close game like the other 2 this season but I really like the Gardian defense to control it. SF @ Mulheim Seahawks Like I said in the other thread. I was owned in the first game this year and barely skated by using MOTY to get into the playoffs. With the PC hit against a good team spells my doom. I'm hoping to keep it within 2 scores. Werewolves @ Outlaws This is a matchup of 2 teams who both throw first and run second. They also both have top 10 defenses. The differences is the quality of wins both have. The Outlaws have 1 total win against a teams without losing records and that is against the 8-8 Torpedos. Against teams with winning records (and torpedos at 8-8) the Outlaws are 0-5. The Werewolves on the other hand have wins against 4 playoff teams in SF, Moors, Outlaws, and Seahawks. That combined with the Werewolves dominating the Outlaws in 3 of the last 4 (the fourth game they won 23-21) makes it look like a tough road for the Outlaws. Alert Polar Bears @ Deventer Devils Last season the Polar Bears dominated the Devils. Devils have a lot on their plate so I'm not sure they will be on. I wish Devils are haste in recovery for his wife. That being said I would still pick Polar Bears if Devils were active. If my hairbrained predictions hold true then the next round would be: Polar Bears @ Lonestar Seahawks @ Jackalopes Gardians @ Pikes Werewolves @ Moors |

Missed one game last week. Outlaws taking down Werewolves was the miss.
Gardians and Polar Bears won in blowouts. Outlaws and Werewolves were within 8 by the end of the game but it was an early 21-3 lead the Werewolves just couldn't overcome. In the first quarter the Outlaws were able to convert 2 fourth and 1's on the way to a touchdown drive. In the second quarter the Outlaws capitalized on back to back Werewolves interceptions that turned into Outlaw touchdowns. That is pretty much all the offense the Outlaws had as they gained about 75 total yards in 7 drives in the second half. Werewolves defense did their job but the interceptions by the offense cost them. Seahawks beat SF with 14 fourth quarter points to win 24-10. It was a super tight game through the first 3 quarters with a score of 10-10. In the second half SF first drive went to the Seahawk 4 yard line and resulted in a fumble. SF was able to keep Seahawks from scoring off the turnover but the loss of even 3 points wasn't good. The next possession SF drove to the Seahawk 28 yard line and resulted in a missed 45 yard field goal. Seahawks then drove down the field off that missed field goal for a touchdown. It is a 7 point lead with 6 minutes to go. The 3rd and final drive for SF in the second half went all the way to the Seahawk 22 yard line where that drive ended in an interception which the Seahawks took down the field for the final points of the game. The Seahawks took care of the ball by not turning it over at all while their defense was able to get the critical turnovers to turn the tide of the game. Nice Job! This division should be fun next season too! |

Congratulations to the Alert Polar Bears. I knew I would have needed a perfect game to get 3 wins in a row against them. Well I didn't have a perfect game :-( Good luck to them in the next round.
My supercup season will come to end as I play against the San Diego Blitz next. Overall it was a good season for the Armadillos and i will have most of my team back next season. I definitely need to look to improve on my passing defense. |

Thank you! I wasn't expecting the win, but figured I might as well scrap the run entirely as opposed to almost entirely to have a chance.

Those Polar Bears have only lost to solidly strong teams and looks to be on a roll.
We get to match up vs each other for the 3rd time this season on Tuesday. I'm afearing that 3rd times a charm stuff might happen against me too. Good luck APB! |

Congratulations to jackolpoles..
4 INTs and a fumble is maybe to much to win a divisional round... Seems I have some work to do in off-season.. I'm kinda shocked that moors lost. No disrespect to outlaws, but I thought moors are kinda the strongest team this year |
