Beckos Playoff Predictions / Power Rankings
The leading numbers are global Elo rankings according to Beckos: (totals may be off due to rounding) AC East 4. Willemstad Bridges 12-4 21. Norfolk Heroes 9-7 * 69. Deflators 5-11 137. Novosibirsk Eagles 1-15 Willemstad seek to repeat, and they're the favorite for the AC title (if just barely), but a stacked NC might keep them from putting up back to back chips. Norfolk are poised to hold their spot in Elite if they play their cards right. AC North 6. TigerCats 11-5 27. BoneCrushers 8-8 40. Lincoln Towncars 6-10 36. Maykop Dynamos 6-10 TigerCats would extend their streak of Elite playoff appearances to 10 with a sweep of the AC North this season. The race for 2nd is wide open, with #27 BoneCrushers rated only a 9pt favorite over #40 Lincoln Towncars. And that's not a typo - due to strength of schedule several teams are rated quite a bit above or below their projected W/L. Just the luck of the draw, or lack thereof. AC South 5. Sydney Rising Stars 12-4 7. Stone Mountain Hawks 2 10-6 * 20. Highland Wildcats 8-8 52. Hell Hounds 5-11 Sydney's star has indeed been rising with Beckos; their ranking climbed from #71 to #5 since s45. Now they're neck and neck with Willemstad for a chance at their first Elite Bowl appearance. SMH2 will likely pick up a wildcard spot and could find some success in the playoffs. AC West 16. ChosenOnes 10-6 19. Green Mark Packers 9-7 26. Bracciano Lakers 9-7 25. BobBoy Magpies 7-9 What a tight division! Just a 6 PD spread between the top and bottom teams, and a chance for all teams to make .500. Only time will tell who gets sent to the playoffs and who gets sent packing. NC East 14. Raven Loonies 9-7 17. mystics 9-7 81. KMN Mandalorians 5-11 58. Ghost of Bautzen 4-12 Raven Loonies and mystics will have a fierce fight for the NC East title, leaving the loser just out of reach of a wildcard. KMN Mandalorians are a team to watch out for and will probably outperform their #81 ranking, having made great strides in a short time. Almost like they've done this before... NC North 1. CHEESE MODE Malones 13-3 2. Space Kraken 12-4 * 51. Hemet Hooligans 6-10 57. Bradford Bulls 6-10 Beckos puts the perennial division rivals at #1 and #2 - what more can I say except fire up the grill and get ready to see some good football! NC South 3. San Diego Blitz 12-4 11. Zombaes 10-6 * 23. Department for Love and Peace 9-7 35. Raspberry Bush 7-9 This is another tight division that will throw some great teams into the relegation fire. Zombaes could pick up their first Elite playoff spot, while Steve will almost surely extend his playoff streak to a zillion and one. NC West 13. Chelt Nam Bobbers 10-6 45. Mülheim Steelers 7-9 53. Mülheim Seahawks 5-11 98. Sfniner08 2-14 Chelt Nam are clear favorites here, and could make some noise in the playoffs as well. The fine people of Mülheim will be privy to some serious action as well in the fight for 2nd place. Elite Bowl: Malones over Willemstad by 6 NC's finest have a bit of an edge over the AC but we'll still be in for a close game. Both Bowl slots will likely go to top 6 teams but SMH2 and Zombaes seem the most likely to break through. |

But seriously, excellent Beckos Predictions (  ) notwithstanding, I hope there will be at least a few surprises. Go you underdogs ! 
EDIT: Just in case the quality of my command in English doesn't match my weird sense of humour - my sense of humour may be weird but I am not so weird as to think someone who's devoted so much of his time and effort to write a well-balanced simulation game from scratch, would even for a split of a second think of playing tricks like what I poke Pete with a few lines above  Last edited on 2022-09-24 10:46:42 by jpnwrt |

Well....I like Rufios predictions for my team better but this is probably more accurate after rebuilding my defense that carried me last season.
