Joining the celebration surrounding the anniversary season 50 of RedZone Action the Admirals League will have, too, a friendly cup. We as quite new member of the league are happy that some well-known and seasoned managers of this awesome game will be participating.
Welcome to the Friendly Cup Admirals S50 
These are the two groups that will battle for the cup: Group 1 Glastonbury Grail Knights by ArthurPendragon, joined in S43 Green Mark Packers by csacsinho, joined in S06 Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin by lions1934, joined in S08 VenoM by venom, joined in S25 Group 2 Nanaimo Bluebacks by Donatello Carminucci, joined in S31 vamosahi by vamos, joined in S07 Morgantown Mad Dogs by ombi78, joined in S45 HAMBURG SEA LIONS by me, joined in S48 The games are played in POWER MODE, and the cup will start on the 1st of February  Last edited on 2023-01-24 21:22:29 by Chrill |

And off we go: today's the first game-day of the celebratory Admirals-S50-Friendly-Cup.
And these are the match-ups: Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin @ Glastonbury Grail Knights The opponents in this all-english duel from the AC conference met two times already this season* and split the record. Who will win this time around? VenoM @ Green Mark Packers The leaders of the NC North and the NC West have not played each other this season*, at least so far. It sure looks like they could meet in the playoffs, so this game might be a preview of things to come. Morgantown Mad Dogs @ HAMBURG SEA LIONS The Mad Dogs, leader of the AC East, defended their spot in an OT-win last night, while the SEA LIONS come off a convincing victory against a division-opponent to keep their hopes for the playoffs in the league alive. They cross paths for the first time altogether. Nanaimo Bluebacks @ vamosahi Both team come off big in-division-games: while NC-East-leader vamosahi cemented their aspirations for another playoff-run with a win over the Oxford Bulls, the Bluebacks lost the second place in the AC South to the Glastonbury Grail Knights. Can the men from Nanaimo rebound and enter this tournament with a win? Best of luck to all

Congrats to the Hamburg Sea Lions on the win.
After my last couple league games, I was worried about this game. I did keep it close most of the game though. Hopefully I can make a few adjustments for the next game. |

Another wednesday with great games: Green Mark Packers @ Glastonbury Grail Knights NC West meets AC South in this match-up which we’ll see today for the first time this season. The Packers lead the NC West and are a lock in the playoffs. The Grail Knights are second place in the AC South and with a shutout-win yesterday punched their ticket for the postseason, as well. In this cup, the Grail Knights are one up on the Packers, who lost their first game. So who’ll come out on top in this one? VenoM @ Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin, Match of the Day There’s RZA-history in this one: These two teams met for the first time in S34 on a Tuesday for a Week-15-Game. That game was won by Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin, like two of the other 3 league-match-ups that they played over the following seasons. They now meet as the leaders of their respective divisions, and everyone’s invited to see how it plays out, since it’s broadcast by RZA-Network as the „Match of the day“ 
Nanaimo Bluebacks @ Morgantown Mad Dogs When these two teams met the first time, they played in the Wildcard Round of last season, where the Bluebacks advanced to play the Divisional Round. They met again in Week 2 of this season when the Mad Dogs evened the record by revenging the playoff-loss. They might meet in the postseason again this season, and with both teams needing to win this cup-game to keep the chance on advancing, it might be a nice showing of things to come
vamosahi @ HAMBURG SEA LIONS The SEA LIONS have a magical run this season, but there were some harsh reminders that they are still at the beginning of a long path to really endanger the good teams. Vamosahi is one of these really good teams in the Admirals League. And it showed when they welcomed the SEA LIONS to Ishmavao in week 10, just to score a fifty-burger on them. This cup does demand slightly different skills than the league, and maybe the SEA LIONS can pull a rabbit out of the hat, but they are still the BIG underdog in this one. It’s game-day 3 in the Admirals-S50-Friendly Cup, and all the participants of this cup are playoff teams. That’s awesome. Nearly everyone was active yesterday, as the Wildcard Round-games were played. And some teams will start with a hangover today. But the games must be played, and these are the match-ups for today:
Green Mark Packers @ Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin (Match of the Day) Both Division-West-Winners meet in a game that does not mean anything in terms of the cup, sadly. Both teams lost twice and are already out of contention for the trophy of this tournament. But since it’s a meeting of two well-earned veterans with a lot of history between them, RZA Network televises the game for everyone as the „Match of the Day“, live from Dave Marsh Field at 2100 GMT. VenoM @ Glastonbury Grail Knights Two winners of yesterday’s games, VenoM eliminating the HAMBURG SEA LIONS while the Grail Knights stole a victory at The Dog Pen in Morgantown, meet to battle for first place in the group. Both are 2–0. This year’s league match-up, when they met in Week 6, was won by the Grail Knights. Let’s see who takes which spot to advance today. Nanaimo Bluebacks @ HAMBURG SEA LIONS Both teams lost their Postseason-Match-Ups yesterday, and while it was close for the Bluebacks, the SEA LIONS were shown that they still have a long way to go before competing with Postseason-Regulars. Since the Bluebacks are one of these, it will be a surprise if the SEA LIONS can muster enough strength to even score in this one. Vamosahi @ Morgantown Mad Dogs The visitors come in well rested, as vamosahi had not played yesterday… the benefit of being the Seed 2-team in the NC conference. The Mad Dogs, on the other hand, had a crushing defeat handed to them by the Grail Knights. Today, they need the win to advance to the KO-round. Can they make it against vamosahi?
